The Big 3 Hard Shonen

Let’s have a comfy thread where we discuss Berserk, Vinland Saga and Vagabond; the three main hard shonen. Punpunbros and Kingdombros are welcome too

Vagabond is seinen/psuedo hard seinen. Made in Abyss and Kingdom are my favorite hard shounen though; Berserk has too many boring shounen tropes like "the power of friendship" for me to like it.

You’re just resentful and bitter because you have no friends so you think the power of friendship is unrealistic.

stop with this fucking hard and light shit holy fuck
HxH is classified as a shounen
Berserk is classified as a seinen

there is no fucking hard shounen and light seinen
kill yourself

>hard shounen
When will this meme die?

kingdom is my fav manga right now but it has a lot of "power of friendship" that you hate lol

>HxH is classified as a shounen
>Berserk is classified as a seinen
source?

Their magazines. Their use or disuse of furigana.

This is your average Zig Forums poster , remember this.

So no source. Gotcha.

>why yes, I like both my seinen and josei al dente, how could you tell?

Young Animal is listed under "seinen manga magazines".

It's in a seinen magazine, but the manga itself is not a seinen.

>it's in a seinen magazine
>it doesn't often use furigana
>it's known for its adult content
>but it's not seinen because I'm the one that defines what words mean

sex and rape =/= seinen. Being a seinen comes from the themes that the manga tackles. The reason HxH is seinen while Berserk isn't is due to Berserk being rather childish with its themes, while Hunter X Hunter has some depth to it.

B-Based HunterChad!

I knew it was a hunterfag. I mentioned two other criteria just besides "sex and rape". But you can stay in your delusional world if you want to.

Please don't compare Vagabond to fairy shit and Trannyland Saga

You're literally fucking retarded, holy shit!

Seinen is defined by th magazine it's published in, you moron.
>The reason HxH is seinen while Berserk isn't is due to Berserk being rather childish with its themes, while Hunter X Hunter has some depth to it.
Holy fucking kek

>3 shounenshitters seething while having no arguments
Typical.

>No argument
Not them but you proved yourself to be a retard.

damn son

>hunterfag shonenshitter thinks I read shonen manga
But since you constantly deny reality I guess you'd just say all the seinen manga I read is shonen to make yourself feel better

Seinen/shounen is literally the target audience you fucking mong
Berserk is published in a magazine targeted towards older audiences, therefore it's a seinen manga.
Now fuck off back to your containment thread

you really went all out

>hunterfag shonenshitter thinks I read shonen manga
Well, you are defending Berserk (a shounen manga)

>This thread
kek get dabbed on huntertard

>Berserk (a shounen manga)

Berserk is seinen for the same reasons K-ON or Dungeon Meshi are seinen. I'm not "defending" Berserk in particular I'm telling you what makes something seinen and that Berserk fits that criteria.

You are stupid. In the end, the only thing that matters for the classification of a work is where it is published. Not the content. Does not matter how pseudo philosophical, sexual, viaolent or gritty it is. It is in a shonen magazine, it is a shonen. Azumanga Daioh and fucking Haganai and Luck Star are considered seinen.

Are you the guy from the other thread? Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star are both in shonen magazines. I don't know what Haganai is but it's probably also shonen since you seem to have no idea what you're talking about.

Berserk is closer to moe garbage than it is seinen. Fuck off, shounenshitters.

A lot of moe is seinen though.

Actually I just looked up Lucky Star and it seems like it's switched magazines a lot. And some of them are a combination of shonen and seinen manga and I think some of them may have been seinen magazines too. So I guess Lucky Star can't really be considered either one or the other. AD is shonen though.

True. a lot of moe slice of life are in seinen magazines. It does not matter that much. Only where is published. The content is completely fine. But I guess in Shonen Jump will never show characters having sex on screen. That is for sure.
