Have you read the manga? The anime doesn't adapt the best parts and it butchers part the of the story. Not to mention It doesn't even feature the girl whose entire character is "I wear diapers and piss myself".

I liked Champloo, the rap-jap aesthetical fusion was very enjoyable but i felt like it was trying to choose between being a pseudo episodic battle shonen and being a plotdriven battle shonen and in the end it rushed a weird mix of both that was kind of unsatisfactory

Yes I have read the manga, I thought that the anime's version of the chapters it adapted was better than the original but the manga gets points for actually being a full story so I think they're about on par in quality. More than funny interactions, for me it Is the progress in their relationship. I've been reading it since the first chapter
was released and witnessing the growth of the BMC and how both of them actually care about each other... Feels really great.
Moreover, the manga has a regular schedule, There are big happenings here and There, and it's really cool to be in the TL threads here in Zig Forums, so for me it's worth picking it up and i still dont understand the faggot contrarians who keep talking about muh harem or Muh no development
