Is madoka a good show?
Is madoka a good show?
If all you know about magical girls is from sailor moon, yeah sure.
It's a very good anime but not a particularly good magical girl anime, if you catch my drift. Also, Hidamari Sketch is better.
Yeah it's pretty good
Creative visuals, good music and good directing
Action is good and fighting styles are so creative they have essentially become iconic
Script is extremely tightly paced and efficient in that it managed to have multiple full character arcs in such a short amount of time and scenes just flowed seemlessly to the next.
Describe what a good magical girl anime is to someone whose never watched one
I shouldn't judge but this feels like one of those things where people don't judge something by the quality of the narrative but rather by how many boxes it ticks
I have enjoyed magical girl anime both before and after Madoka, and I think Madoka is a great show.
It's created a bit of a trend that spawned copycat series that weren't so great, sure, but Madoka itself was well done.
I would greatly appreciate if the people who are trying to distinguish Madoka's acclaim between mahou shoujo naive and non-naive viewers would explain their points in greater detail.
No
Yes
its the anime of the day every day
Noh
Is Madoka a cute girl?
You tell me.
There hasn't been a better anime since
yep
It was okay. Not sure why people treat it like it's an 11/10.
>Also, Hidamari Sketch is better
That goes without saying. Hidamari Sketch is the best moe show
Not everyone can recognize that it's really a 12/10, but tastes will always differ after all
madoka is a gateway anime of the worst kind
In 2011 people didn't like her but now seem to realize that she is the most sexual meguca. What changed?
Watching it weekly with Zig Forums was a 12/10 experience.
The show itself is very very good with the exception of Kyoko who always stuck out from the rest of the cast in a way that's hard to put my finger on. It might have been how hard the show goes in on shipping her with Sayaka by the end of their arcs.
There is one episode in the series that is so incredibly well executed and unexpected that I feel it justifies the rest of the work as a success all on its own, but if you go into it expecting it then I can imagine it losing a lot of the impact that it had on me.
Yeah, despite Homura's existence.
My only two gripes with the show are the fact that everyone has a rectangle head and someone seems to have to cry every episode, but other than that, yeah, objectively speaking I think it's a decent show.
I am planning to rewatch this, should I go for the recap movies or the regular TV ones?
No
t. Madoka superfan
>someone seems to have to cry every episode
user, they are young girls dropped unexpectedly into stressful situations. It would probably be more realistic if they cried more.
How dare you insult the metapod's art!
the recap movies worked well for me when i rewatched it, they leave out a few details but if you've already seen the anime you should be able to fill in those gaps yourself
To be fair they have some pretty big reasons to be crying.
Get the fancutfag version.
yes
t. madoka hater
who doesn't love watching little girls cry?
The fuck?
Homura's seiyuu asked Urobutcher: >how the fuck were you able to write such a realistic middle school girls with real life problems, especially a character like Sayaka Urobutchi-san?
>Are you secretly a girl? Are you a girl?!
>Urobutchi: well if writer like us can't do this much, we can't even be in this industry
I Honestly was amazed. A writer is basically a psychologist at this point
