So, about that new Muv-Luv anime
Muv-Luv Alternative
It's gonna flop hard.
No extra or Unlimited adaption confirms it being a failure on arrival. Booooooo
>CGI
I'm of similar opinion.
Nothing wrong with CGI. If they put money into it, it will look great.
There was something golden about playing through the VNs that I don't think can translate to anime.
do we have a normal trailer on youtube now without the stuttering
its going to be interesting to see how they will make the characters look
will they update the designs since they do look quite dated
What was that made the VN good?
I just can't think of anything specific.
This is going to sound autistic but, the journey. The flow between extra-unlimited-alternative come together to form a rather surreal narrative experience that can only be achieved through a visceral first-person perspective.
You might be onto something here.
We've got to experience multiple lives of highs and lows of Takeru. Not sure what will happen if anime takes that away.
Maybe, but as long as I get Meiya properly animated, I'll be fine. Cookie can fall in bankruptcy later for all I care.
Why did the weekly muv luv threads on Zig Forums die?
Zoomers can't into mecha and isekai magic became stale and moldy.
I went in going completely blind, other than knowing that robots and aliens will arrive eventually. I even blocked Zig Forums from my browser to stop myself from getting spoiled. Even though I hated Extra at first, I slowly became attached to the comedy and the characters, only for it all to be violently ripped away from me. At which point I entered full-autism mode and began writing down my theories and attempting to illustrate what I thought the BETA looked like before the reveal.
Muv Luv truly is a magical experience. If I had friends, I would recommend it to them 100%.
Yeah.
I just find it difficult to imagine what will remain once anime skips all of that.
I'm sure good directing and writing can make up for that. But seeing their track record, I remain skeptical.
Alternative is basically Sumika route unlimited, it won't make any sense to people who didn't experience extra and unlimited why the hell Shirogane-san acts the way he does towards Sumika
fuck the anime play the visual novel.
meiya best girl, she even made me fucking food!
choose 1 every fucking time.
I almost never ate meiyas food in the beginning and took sumika's because I didnt want her nigger chefs food.
later on I got her to make food for me, it took the whole night, she blew up the kitchen, it tasted like shit but she put her heart into it.
I don't get Meiafags.
Are they just gold diggers?
honestly thought I wouldn't care that the adaptation is gonna suck but now I realize that the fact that everyone is gonna think Muv Luv is shit and the public opinion on it will change is very much annoying me.
Meiya is honestly the most developed girl throughout Muv-luv. Alternative Sumika just had this weird arc that ended in twizzlers.
I'm still a Sumikafag though because she has the best chemistry with Takeru.
A better anime adaptation would've been TSFiA.
no, im no fucking golddigger, and that is why I want her to do stuff herself instead of annoying servants, that is why I wanted her to make me food.
i care about her not her fucking gold.
Meiya had a sheltered childhood, just like me!
best we can hope for is some project made 100% for fans with epic action that newfags won't really understand at all, and be forced to play the VN
user will you marry me and give me all of your families fortune?
Isn't the whole point of Meiya's character that she can have any luxury without lifting a finger?
Literally agreed, make it still incomprehensible to anyone who didn't read the novel.
the point is that she can have any luxury but chooses not to.
because she's the best.
I feel that any coverage is good. The VN is pretty much VNcore at this point, getting the name out to ignorant plebeians can only enlighten them. It just feels like the series is rather unknown outside the VN playing demographic while within it's up there with fate as the most popular.
>but chooses not to
Someone clearly didn't play Extra Meiya's route.
>Isn't the whole point of Meiya's character that she can have any luxury without lifting a finger?
okay retard
someone obviously only played extra.
if you have a brain and played the whole thing you should easily realize the Meiya is best.
VNs are inherently inaccessible though, and the jump between reading fate, and any other VN is pretty big, so I'd rather still keep that filter there.
What girl was constantly thinking about Takeru, even though her body was violated, torn to shreds and her mind broken? Which girl's love was so strong to use quantum magic to sumon Takeru into her world to save her? Which girl was willing to take on whole Beta hive on her own just to make sure Takeru wouldn't be put into danger?
I went into the game intending to do Meiya's route first but this decision forced me to change to Sumika's. No regrets.
Anime budgets aren't enough to make good CG.
Sell this shit to me?
Whats its big draw?
It looks like another humanity is on the ropes so rainbow haired teens have to defeat the aliens with mechs. This time its got a slight edge where a few waifus get chomped on. Is that it? Is it really that well executed?
Tama is my waifu.
I don't know there are other series where humanity get fucked as hard as in muv luv.
