I hated this moment. It's safe to make the assumption that Horikoshi is trying to show Bakugo's "character growth" and his changed relationship. But it also feels like he's sweeping the shit he pulled under the rug without actually moving past being an angry asswipe. It's trying to have his cake and eat it but I also suspect it also came as a result of the popularity polls. To show growth without actually changing them by having the other characters proclaim it.

Sasuke wasn’t the source of narutos trauma or anguish. Sasuke was rude to everyone post itachicide and didnt directly target naruto, who everyone made fun of since he always got in trouble and, had a demon inside him that killed the president.
Sasuke started to acknowledge naruto and respect him after zabuza and even more during the chuuni exams. He even started doubting himself when he saw how much naruto had progressed compared to him. The characters are literally the same except that naruto had people to nurture his kindness and help him let go of his resentment while no one gave that to sasuke so he just became obsessed with revenge, it’s literally this conflict of ideals that describes the last half of the manga.
Comparing naruto and sasukes character dynamic to Deku and bakugo is comparing classic literature to twitter shitposts
