Why was Miuna the best and most memorable character in this show?

Are we ever gonna get a show like this again? It's not to say all current anime is bad, but we haven't had a show with this atmosphere for ages. The nearest I can think of was Children of the Whales but it wasn't as good.

Anons said they loved Miuna then abandoned her and threw her out like dirt. Seeing Miuna Monday go to shit was depressing af

I really like the foreboding feel in this even if its nothing much except maybe the 1st cour ending episode.I enjoyed the whale anime though, not sure if there are more volume got ripped yet. Original series is a big investment since the studio probably had to a larger % of their own money in it.
