I thought it was actually going to be written so that they nearly stop the sealing of Gojo and then last minute Sukuna releases himself and makes it happen but I guess the mangaka wants something even bigger than that.

Since you refuse to let the thread die, here's my hot take. I think that the people who say that Bones or Ufo should animate JJK are wrong and that MAPPA is a better fit (given the right budget/schedule) since JJK feels more "gritty"

MAPPA would get the atmosphere right, and that alone. I really don't trust them to get fights right at all (admit it, their choreography is not great for the most part, as well as their visual effects being slightly above average at best). ufotable could definitely do gritty, they just did it with Kimetsu no Yaiba, albeit on a lower scale, but there's pretty much 0 chance they'll be studio behind it. I think Bones' studio B could get everything right, just having the atmosphere be the big issue, in which could be salvaged with a good OST.
