'you got filtered' is just evidence that a series is not very good since a good series is most likely going to be accessible to, and can be enjoyed by, most people.

No. Accessibility does not equate to quality. Otherwise Peppa Pig would be the pinnacle of animation.
Who said anything about equality? Nice strawman.
He said accessible AND enjoyed. Peppa Pig only meets one of the two conditions. Learn to read, faggot.
I don't want to hear anyone who doesn't speak Japanese or understand what the work they're watching is even about to complain about accessibility.
So you're saying Peppa Pig isn't enjoyable then. Maybe you just got filtered by Peppa fucking Pig of all things.
And just because a series doesn't appeal to everyone doesn't mean it's good, or appealing to fewer, bad.
To most people, no, because most people aren't toddlers. How stupid can you get? Again, learn to fucking read.
Only if your only criteria for "good" is mass market appeal, in which case you might as well just look at sales numbers without considering the content at all.
Nice fallacy. Accessibility and enjoyability are sufficient, not necessary conditions. Learn some fucking baby logic.
I'm genuinely conflicted on whether to watch the 2000 or 2019 version. Which one is Zig Forumspproved?
>good
this word is interpreted differently by everyone. don't think there's an objective good show because you're confusing it for being broadly appealing. by the logic that it's possible for anyone to appreciate what any show has to offer simple jack esque, being filtered means lacking appreciation or discipline for culture. see: lain, psycho pass, texhnolyze, k-on, etc.
learn what a fallacy means before misusing it, kid
2019 is an actual adaptation. 2000 is not canon. I don't know if that matters to you.
Prove it, where's this "evidence".
Why not both?
Denying the antecedent/Affirming the consequent. Both formal fallacies. I know what fallacies are.
They're different things. Phantom is an anime original sequel too the first novel involving a little material from other novels. The 2019 show adapted several of the novels.
>We'll never get a boogiepop adaptation that looks like this

Art doesn't need to be understood and liked by everyone, it is supposed to talk to your subjectivity and your perception of life. Something that is not for everyone doesn't mean it is bad, it just means it is not for everyone, if it was meant to touch only a few amount of people then so be it. It's different from bad stories that badly use narrative and storytelling and in an anime: animation, screenplay, direction and soundtrack. In Boogiepop there is none of those bad things, the animation isn't perfect but it's still likeable and the rest is top notch, and the first episodes are badly paced but they are still intriguing and interesting enough to keep watching. If you disagree that means it wasn't meant for you but it doesn't mean that it is bad per say.
Wow, you can use google, good for you.
Wow, you can make assumptions. I teach philosophy at the college level.
2000 is a good anime. 2019 is an okay adaptation.
I'm not going to read your stupid posts because this entire fucking premise is stemming from the fact someone got a bit confused when watching something and then thought to make a post that simply boils down to "if I have to put even a bit of thought into what I'm watching, then the show is 'bad' because not a large audience can enjoy it." (whatever this retarded fuzzy logic of enjoyment and criteria for criticism is).
Which is exactly like how a toddler thinks. Fuck off. You got filtered by Peppa Pig.
They're both enjoyable, but the 2019 anime is a straight adaptation of the light novels. The 2000 anime is a more of an anime-spinoff/sequel based on Boogiepop that tries to do its own thing.
You should be glad to have been filtered, no need to waste your time on series at that point of your time, but I see you have created this thread to sperg out.
Cool, me too.
I found it boring.
you got filtered, OP
People get filtered by fucking TTGL of all things still, maybe just stop being a retard and think about the things you watch.
And this is how you spend your time, arguing with me. what a pathetic, foolish "philosopher".
It's the week between semesters. Not much else to do.
Getting pleb-filtered is a legitimate thing though. There's a plethora of anime I dropped only to come back later enjoying them way more because my taste broadened and my comfort zone is nonexistent . This isn't even exclusive to just anime either.
Yeah starts a little convoluted. And maybe the 'chapter' instead of episodic nature turns some people off. Though I'd say that's caused by following the source without adapting it smoothly.
But it's worth a watch I'd say. Certainly better than most of the garbage coming out nowadays.
Go do stuff you want to do then, rather than bringing up such unnecessary and uncompleted thoughts to discuss as topics, man. Also
>majoring in philosophy
You could learn how not to sound like a pretentious pseud by chucking terms like "fallacy" around unnecessarily.
