Mangas that don't need anime adaptations

no property "needs" an anime but berserk DESERVES a faithful, quality adaptation

Guts has always had plot armor. I agree the whole Wyald thing was done in a kinda dumb way but I think it wasn't a bad idea to have an apostle right there to generate a certain sense of escalation. As people have said recently in the dump threads and the like, seeing how fucking hard just one of those things was to take down makes it extra hopeless when there's suddenly over 100 of them charging at you.

While in the Black Swordsman part he definitely takes crazy damage, he at least has the dragon slayer and cannon arm so it didn't feel weird when he killed the count. The whole GA arc sets it up as a more or less realistic battle between humans. Zodd is unbeatable and he leaves for a good reason instead of killing Guts and Griffith. The fight with Wyald is just Guts getting beaten into a pulp but still winning and it seemed so out of place. It took me out of the action scenes rather than escalating things because it was so strange in the context of the arc. The 100 men battle was improbable but he wasn't getting thrown hundreds of feet through trees and shit and getting back up multiple times

You stupid fuck, The lost children arc deserves a high budget MOVIE.

Berserk is hard as fuck to adapt, this is why it's always shitty. The contrast of colors must be so intense, the more important scenes are actually a static image, most fights are just a panel. It simply doesn't fit with a colored animation.

I addition to what the other user said about Guts always having plot armour, it should also be noted that Zodd is stronger than basically every apostle aside from Ganishka. Guts was the first human to ever damage Zodd in his human form in fucking three centuries, and Zodd has made remarks that even other apostles can't provide him a real fight. Zodd made a pretty shitty benchmark, which makes me think maybe Miura was trying to fix the power level of apostles without making them undefeatable like Zodd.

We already knew Apostles were beatable since Guts killed 3 in the first few volumes. I think there's nothing wrong with having pre-Black Swordsman Guts defeat an Apostle, it just means the power jump wasn't as big as you'd think simply from the new gear. Guts was already beyond normal after hermit training for 1 year on the mountain.

It's actually much better this way, so the story doesn't get too predictable. Guts definitely earned his win against Wyald and it was easily one of the best fights in the manga

Wyald and Rosine are two of the best apostles, why aren't they in any of the animes? Lazy animators or too edgy to be televised?

Wait I need to clarify, Rosine(and the Count too for that matter) are in the original 97 anime briefly but Guts' fights against them aren't...
