I like how they had to use colourised manga art on the front cover in order to trick people into buying the overprice CGI release, obviously the cover art for the 1997 version is better but when I first went into the store to pick up the series I had to inspect both covers in order to insure that I’m picking up the correct version. The 1997 version of course.
Berserk Anime Thread
nuserk has better cover art
97 art is generic american action shit cover
nuserk cover is dark and gritty and gives an idea of what berserk is about
sadly nuserk is not at all like berserk so you're fucked either way
>$70 for Berserk 2016
I'd be surprised if they sold more than 10 copies
Lol are you kidding, nuserk cover looks like Guts' sword got stuck and he tries to pull it out while the monsters try to skedaddle quietly while he's busy. The old one actually looks cool.
They never sell any copies of Nuberserk. At every video and entertainment store in my city the 1997 version is never on the shelves while a single Nuberserk blu ray copy sits there unloved.
While I agree that the blu ray cover for the 1997 berserk looks generic I still prefer it over the unflattering coloured manga art of guts that looks like a weird chicken man
Both are garbage hard shounen made for edgy teens. Honestly pretty based tricking shounenshitters into buying this piece of shit - they deserve it.
berserk has always run in a seinen magazine you mongoloid shit
>berserk has always run in a seinen magazine
So? it's still hard shounen. HxH is in Weekly Shonen Jump but is still seinen.
The fuck even is “hard shounen”? I don’t think I’ve ever seen this term used before
No racism outside of Zig Forums, please.
fuck you berserk threads are for racists to come together and have comfy talk
>Azumanga Daioh got an MA15+ rating in Australia
>user thinks this makes it shounen
Azumanga Daioh is shoujo, so no.
>goofy, hilarious and somewhat serious story
None of the manga displayed underneath that definition could be discribed as “goofy or hilarious”
>Berserk
Epic HORSE FACE!!! HAHAHAHA
>SnK
I LOVE FOOOOD AAAHHH
>Tokyo Ghoul
hilariously bad
>Monster
Goofy Slice of Life for 90% of the story
>not pirating it
Kys my man
>hard shounen
You absolute fucking fool.
That definition is for Shouen, not this ‘Hard Shounen’ term that you made up. Dude I get it, Shounen bad, but please don’t try to make up sub genres so you can include series’ that don’t normally fit under the Shounen genre just to justify disliking something that isn’t Shounen.
Azumanga Daioh is a seinen, dipshit. Runs in a seinen magazine.
>pic
Only Attack on Titan runs in a shounen magazine. The rest ran in seinen magazines. How fucking dumb are you?
Based Hunterchad telling it how it is
I'm not surprised this dumb shit is saying Hard Shonen like that's a thing.
You’ve clearly never watched or read anything berserk related if you think the entire series revolves around a single panel of a horse.
>Azumanga Daioh is a seinen, dipshit.
It's quite clearly shoujo...
>Miura has Puck do some gag shit now and then, so this story with heavy gore, nudity, violence, rape, and demonic themes is definitely targeted at a shounen audience
Have a look at this image and let me know if you think this manga gets rated anything that isn't an R18+
I’m glad I still have the American set for the first series. It’s a black box with Void’s quote from the intro and when you open it the interior is filled with the official art.
I’m sorry dude, I got sick of viruses from torrent, and crappy streaming sites that only stream up to 760p. There’s nothing better than having a piece of media always available to you at a very high quality.
This is some excellent fucking bait.
I just like the 97 series because it closely mimics the style of the manga; animation isn't superb, but it's pretty good in some parts.
Just bought Vol 1 and Vol 2 of the deluxe editions online, probably won't get them for another month thanks to Corona-chan
>W-woah. SEEEEEEEEXXXXXXXX!!!!!
Literally the mind of teenagers. No adult would take that page seriously.
Hunterchads? I thought our anime was strictly for grown ups...
2011 anime is the shounen version of the story. The manga is pure soft seinen.
The fuck is up with these “soft” and “hard” labels on genres? Just admit that your favourite show, HxH, is Shounen and is for babies and live with it, no one besides you is insecure enough to care.
