I'm not certain if Chainlink or XSN are more likely to make a BTC/ETH run, but I'm leaning more toward XSN.
OP, if you're going to listen to any advice at all here, take roughly 3k USD and purchase yourself an XSN Masternode as soon as you possibly can.

You will certainly make money if you put roughly the same amount in to Chainlink, so don't get me wrong. However, there's a very high chance that you can quickly become a millionaire and also never have to have a job again by this time next year.

Of course, my even suggesting this really lays bear the folly of this place - we all get entrenched in these ideas and insist we buy what each other is most invested in. Frankly, I don't have the most in XSN, but the point still remains: you're going to have to understand that your mileage may very when asking for opinions from people here.

chainlink has a good concept and momentum in crypto space. unclear if their tech will win out in the end, but their product is the clear front runner when placed against similar products in the space.

with that said, I'm still skeptical that chain link will actually pull it together and put out a product worth scaling. plus, it's built on the back of ethereum, which is in a shit show of a pudding match between developers and miners over transitioning to a proof of stake algorithm from proof of work.

chain link is clearly the market leader for decentralized Oracle data, but it's dependent on ethereum in a couple key ways and eth is not the world beating juggernaut it appeared to be in 2017.
