I just use my brain

Google sheets

Crunchyroll.

anime that are memorable stick with you. No need to write everything down.

Anilist.

My diary desu

i kinda wanna stop using mail but there isn't decent alternative right now

Notepad.exe

Pencil and paper.

tfw no one ever mentions anidb

This. That MAL trash is for attentionwhores.

I'm too lazy. I forgot some anime i watched, but i still remember if i watched title or not. I've got absolutely zero idea what the fuck is Ichigo 100%, but i know i watched it in late summer of 2006, because that was same summer i visited my first night anime party and received bj from ginger girl in bleach cosplay while listening to ike ike. This maybe most colourful example, but i have same ties with every title i watched, every single of hundreds of them.

I don't watch anime so baka updates

Came here to post this.

I moved to Anilist since I got fed up with MAL forcing the JP names for everything.

I just use the notes app on my mobile, though something like MAL could be useful to check if there are anime which got new seasons.

When you have watched over +100 anime some of them will slip through the cracks of your brain so it's good to have something to keep track of your list.

That's bullshit. Remembering things doesn't work like a linear list, but it doesn't have to. No, I couldn't spoantaneously list all of the anime I've ever watched on the spot without missing a good number of them. But you can bet that if we discussed one specific one of those I'd miss to list, I sure as hell would remember it pretty well and could join that discussion.

In other words: Whenever it matters, I'll remember what I've seen. In all possible instances where MAL would be of any use, it doesn't matter. Including your useless "Look at how many anime I've seen" boasting.

I only use livechart to see countdowns and upcoming. No need to track.

I have had MAL for 13 years now but at some point I will get over the laziness hurdle and switch. The Jap names are so annoying.

Lists are useful if you want to ask for recommendations, give recommendations, or for keeping track of what episode you watched last. Related anime notifications are occasionally useful too.

I used MAL and then a .txt file before but now

You literally cannot remember every anime you've seen unless that number is less than 100.

You took words out of my mouth or should I say my brain.

None, i tried to use MAL but i'm lazy, i barely consumed 100 titles but usually i can't remember 20. Having low memory sucks. It's not like i don't remeber them individually is that they don't come to my mind if i try to remember anime in general.

I don't track it and I don't understand why people do it. What's the point? To show everyone how much anime/manga you consume? If it's not worth remembering why should I care?

Well, yes, I can. I can also remember hundreds of books I've read, films I've seen and thousands of pieces of music I've heard. And I'm pretty sure most people can. It's not that difficult.
Of course, you might have some kind of deficit in that regard, in which case I'm truly sorry for you. Your life must be like hell.

The downloads directory of my seedbox is technically a website.
