Masvidal probably won't win but he has a better chance than people are giving him. Colby has shit striking and landed tons of shot on Usman. Masvidal's striking is much better and he isn't pillow fisted like Colby. His take down defense is also better than people acknowledge. People consistently doubt and underestimate Usman despite him dominating people which I find really weird. If you look at Masvidal's previous fights, he's performed well, but the Diaz fight was a doctor stoppage, the Askren fight was Askren being a dumbass and we have no idea how that actually would have turned out otherwise (Lawler practically tried to murder the dude but somehow still ended up getting submitted by Askren), and Till was a good performance but that's pretty much it. So basically with his last three fights two were flukes and one good but not mindblowing performance. Compare that to Usman and it is a night and day difference. This isn't even factoring in that Masvidal is taking this fight on very short notice, that Usman is in much better shape, and is overall just a more technical and well rounded fighter with better cardio. Usman is the easy choice here. I don't know if he knocks Masvidal out, but I think it's likely Masvidal is going to get wrestlefucked for 5 rounds, get embarrassed, and finally have his hype train ended.
Volkanovski because Max doesn't seem like he thinks he lost the first fight so he probably hasn't made necessary adjustments. Also Volkanovski just looks better leading up to the fight.
Yan. As great as Aldo is I think this either goes to split decision or Yan KOs Aldo. Yan has simply been looking so good, is young and hungry and I think ultimately while Aldo will put up a tough fight Yan has the edge here.
