The second volume in Attack on Titan's Uprising Arc. Starting earlier today cause I got essays to finish later. Last time, we got some nice character development, including Historia's backstory. The 104th hide out in a remote mountain area where unsuccessful experiments at making Eren hard occur. Pastor Nick is found to be tortured to death. The 104th leave the mountain retreat and head into Trost, where they set up decoys of Eren and Historia for the Reeves company to kidnap. The Reeves head, Dimo Reeves, is captured by the Survey Corps during this operation, and Levi makes an alliance / deal with him that involves handing over Eren and Historia in exchange for the Reeves company's support of the Survey Corps. The two suspected assassins of Pastor Nick are captured by Hange and Levi, and we end the volume with Erwin telling Pixis about his plan for an UPRISING This volume, we get more shit that was cut from the adaptation, and we get an introduction to the best male character in the series.

This is not too far off with what the Yeagerists did. Eren is presented as the island's hero. Show the government is against Eren to win the people over. Eliminate the head of state and show only they and Eren can be trusted to protect the island.
