I don't know about the worst anime but the most disappointing anime I've watched is a tie between Coppelion and Kotoura-san.

Because there are so many factors when it comes to anime. I can think of anime that ran out of budget and released a failed product that was objectively bad...

Master of Martial Hearts which I only watched because of the memes at the time about it being ungodly awful with the last episode being the dumbest attempt ever at a shocking plot twist. The memes were not wrong.

Wizard Barristers ran out of time, not budget. The blu ray release is a rather well-animated show.

An obscure yaoi anime titled Cluster Edge. I only watched one episode, back in the 2000s. Some troll had found it funny to replace episode 1 of Code Geass by episode 1 of Cluster Edge on some shitty French streaming website.

Last example? Franxx all the way. I've abandoned dull and boring anime before, but I've never seen something implode so badly as Franxx did in just 2 episodes. A shame, because until episode 15 it was good, or at least good enough to watch it until the end.
LWA was the other bad anime I remenber beacuse I was actually hyped for that one.

A weird mocap show called magical girls Naria, it genuinely had no script and was just the actresses floundering about for 5 minuets each episode.

This was the worst anime I ever watched to completion. It’s good for 3 episodes then goes to shit and keeps being shit. The only reason I kept watching was hoping it would get better but sadly it never did.
