Zig Forums I need help. I'm fairly young, got rich with crypto and I never really told my parents (still live with them). They suspect that I have maybe $10k or something like that, but I actually have close to $1 million. The problem is that my parents are in a really bad debt and I want to help them out of it, but if I just give them like $15k I will basically reveal my power level.
At the same time it hurts me to see them unhappy. They've been paying off this debt for like 7 years and I want them to be happy but I also don't want this to impact my relationship with them. I fear that if I give them money once and they learn that I am rich, they will be begging me for more and more and when I eventually refuse, I will be seen as a selfish, rich asshole.
Please read my full blog post before replying faggot

If you're actually trying to help your parents, tell them you recently made a good amount and give them 20k. They won't suddenly know you're close to a million
Hudson Mitchell
You can loan them the money and tell them they can pay it back when they can. I believe you should unconditionally support your family members, however I wouldn’t want them to try to mooch off me. So if you think they will make sure they don’t know about your wealth
Henry Ramirez
Never reveal your true wealth to anyone. Give them 5k and let them handle their own problems.
Jordan Brooks
Just make it seme like you won 15k as a price from some random lottery
Lincoln Thompson
Tell'em you won a scratch card.
Lincoln Russell
Offer them what you think is appropriate user. Tell them you made a means of income like a job or investment. But for christsakes don't make the mistake of bailing them out over and over again
Luke Nelson
Give them $500 and buy some groceries.
Dominic Young
How much debt do they have?
Liam Mitchell
Yes. Just say you made a good trade and want to help. 10k will make it seem like that's the most you can afford. But if your parents are of good character, then why not just give them all 15 with the same story
Matthew Murphy
Exactly this say u have total of 25k from a good trade. Tell them u wanna keep 10k and give them 15k
Nathan Walker
Sounds like you don't trust your parents to not try and leech off, that sucks. In any case, I would definitely try to help them, but you can simply say you were able to make some decent money and pay off 15K without alluding to the fact you own anywhere near 1M
Dominic Walker
Make it seem like you are making a half decent wage user. Say you went and got a "job" and would like to help out financially and start giving your folks small amounts that look like you've become a wagie. Don't let them find out how much money you actually have though, that'll tear you and your folks apart.
Luis Wright
pretend you got a job and move out. Tell them you earn more than enough. Send them some money every month.
Christian Williams
Pay them rent equal to their debt payments.
Benjamin Morales
That's what I'm thinking of doing. I definitely don't want to become their free ATM whenever they ask for money especially since I'm extremely frugal and barely buy anything to save as much money as I can. Pretty much like $15k. They would be paying it off for another 3 years at this rate and they are getting quite old.
Carson Roberts
Just tell them its half of what you made, then they'll be thankful and wont harrass you
Angel Mitchell
Well that's the problem. I'm still studying so I can't exactly lie that I'm working.
Lincoln Thomas
As a person who's also trying to get crypto rich, what did you invest in and when?
Nathaniel Martin
Just tell them that you won on *insert market* market and that small amount turned into *amount that you going to give to your parents* this way you wont reveal your true power, will make your parents proud and also make them more happy by repaying their debt.
Caleb Collins
tell them you want to do your part, pay rent and food
Connor Peterson
>not giving the faggots that chose not to abort you a dime because you don’t want them to ask you for rent money
Do you know what the worst part is? You actually believe that it’s alright to not be a piece of shit and want validation from this board. Fuck you. Read that last part again until it clicks. Fuck. You. I’d love nothing more than to make sure my parents are well off. So what if they ask you for a few dollars? You are ungrateful. They took care of you, listened to your incessant crying as a child, wiped your ass, fed you through your vehemently pathetic hormonal teen phase, and still take care of you. It should not be a question and further proves why this time period is fucked. You are already an asshole and you know that, so why are you trying to flex on here? Most people on here won’t have a million because of additions, divorce, alimony, child support, crippling debt, etc you name it and here you are either larping or genuinely cannot fathom helping your family. They made bad choices in the past, but you’re the worst by far imho.
Juan Myers
Give them a down payment of 15k for the next year's rent food and bills. Just say you felt.bad for not contributing and you made some cash on trading, if their good parents don't be a dick.
Isaiah Ramirez
Say you made ~$50k through some good trades, let them handle their debt, then move out and do whatever the fuck you want with your money. Maybe get a job if you really want a cover.
Jordan Thompson
Move the fuck out first, lie and say you found a decent job. Even buy yourself a suit one day and act like you're going on an interview. Live alone for a week or two and think about it. Do you really want to help them out? This is a real question because if you're gone and out of their view, you might realize they were shitty people. Or that they were really good people and you took a lot for granted.
Either way, after 2-3 weeks, if you decide you do wanna give them money, do it in small doses. Never just hand someone a 5 figure amount, they'll want more. Never mention you're a millionaire, because then people will expect you to pay for everything (most wagies don't realize how little a million dollars actually is.)
tl;dr: move the fuck out and fake having a job, then send them like $500 every 2 weeks for a bit and see how they spend it.
John Flores
yeah right. post your trades you fucking LARP faggot
Adrian Ortiz
Create a fake raffle saying they won an art piece by Banksy. If they aren't too focused to discover it's origins or the raffle background, tell them to sell it online as a bid, then buy the art piece at a few thousand over the cost of their debt.
If they think they just got lucky with some hyperlink raffle their son sent, they can't dispute you had a hand in anything.
Luis Moore
tell that you sold an item from a game that was very important to you but it cost like ~ 18k to not be too weird that be the exact amount.
Eli Stewart
Dude they're your fucking parents, not some dumbass hoe you met at a club or some "buddy" from work. Just tell them you've made some investment online that paid and give them the 15k "because you love them and want them to be happy" They won't ask how much you made but if they do just say "a decent amount" If they get specific just say you've made about $30 000 or so, that way they won't ask for more as you've already given em half your worth
Adam Smith
assuming you wouldn't be enabling boomer spending habits, just pay off their debts and imply that you just gave them a little more than half your NW
Cameron Walker
Made a lot of my money investing in ETH around $8 and then just rode the 2017 market in some random coins. At the end I mostly stayed in BTC. My parents biggest dream is to own a big house with a garden near a forrest or in some secluded area. I know that if they learned that I have nearly $1M, they would beg me to buy them a house for sure. Now I would love to do that, but $1M is not a fuck you insanely rich money. I don't want to buy a house and then be out of all my money and spend the rest of my fucking life wagecucking listening to some retard boss make demands and hating my life. I didn't spend 6 years of my life watching charts for that. And if I refused to buy them a house they would get angry at me and it would probably ruin our relationship completely. I want to get them out of their debt so that they can start saving money and enjoying life and once I turn my million into like 10 million and make it, I will buy them a house and whatever they fucking wish for. But I don't want to give up all my money now after I came this far.
Camden Edwards
Unless you're a drug dealing murderer if telling your parents their boy is a big success ruins your relationship with them then you have dogshit parents.
Jordan Gutierrez
Find a way to pay off their debt for them anonymously.
Angel Kelly
>I want to get them out of their debt so that they can start saving money and enjoying life and once user, hate to break it to you but your folks could be the sweetest 2 people on earth but they sound shit with money. How do 2 boomers nott outright own their house by now? How are the in so much debt their kid is worried about it? Finally, their dream sounds like a giant cash sink. Older, smarter, people wanna downsize when they get into their years. Less to maintain, more money in their pockets to go on bucketlist trips and the like. You don't need a giant house to have a big yard. You can have a single family ranger on 10 acres somewhere.
But I digress, they sound like the same kinds of family that bankrupt NFL stars by bleeding them dry using crocodile tears. Don't fall for it.
The respectful thing to do? Offer to buy their house. You get the property, they get a payout. If they wanna go piss it away thats their business but from that point onward you are a homeowner.
Personally, though, I think you should move out and fake being a wagie till you really make it. 1 million is nice but it ain't shit.
William Hughes
I might be your father when it comes to age. My oldest son is19. Just to put what I'm saying into perspective.
I as a father would be happy for my children's prosperity. I would not envy them for their money. I would just want to see them to be happy, and if they have more than enough money, to have a good heart to help others in need. Of course it would help If my son would pay my debts, but I wouldn't really expect that. However, since you are rich, I think it would be a nice gesture to start paying for rent. That's what I'd do if I were you.
Also, if anyhow possible, try to be open with your parents about how you did get rich. You don't need to say how rich exactly though. As said, as a father I would not envy your money. I hope and believe your parents wouldn't either, you're their son.
Owen Murphy
Pay off their debt saying (if you can afford so since i dunno how much they have) and say the money is from a lottery, done
Cameron Ortiz
Honestly man, I would say just don't worry about it. 15k is not at a lot of debt at all for two people. They're grown adults. They should be able to figure it out. The fact that you have to even ask this question tells me they're not very trustworthy. If I were in the same situation, I'd probably help my parents, but it doesn't sound like yours are like mine. I would keep my wealth a secret as long as I could if I were you. Hopefully you make even more in the next few years, then you can see where they're at.
