i have no problem with a private business/home saying "you can't enter without a mask" because that's their private property and they are allowed to set the terms. what i have a problem with is politicians mandating people wear masks (especially outside!), mandating that people sit and home and go broke while the politician sucks up their tax money, etc. that's because i believe in the relationship between government and populace that was outlined in the united states constitution and by opposing government abuses of power i actually AM doing something for my country. people like you are actually doing less than nothing for your country; you're actively harming it. this entire situation really exposes maybe the biggest difference between liberals and conservatives: is the government your boss or your employee? also, remember when we were told that the "lockdowns" would only last until we "flattened the curve"? oh, how the goalposts move.

the thing that pisses me off the most about this whole situation isn't even the masks at all, it's all of the small business that have had to close because they were FORBIDDEN from operating. my local mom-n-pop gym has been boarded up for months but the Anytime Fitness that's 20 minutes away is celebrating their re-opening. it genuinely makes me sad. i liked going there. they were nice people. knew everyone by name, etc. you would think all of the democrats who supposedly care so much about the "little guy" would maybe mention that once or twice, but nope.
