the serious arc was aborted, we're still not axed boys

So we're just gonna ignore that development from the last chapter? Ok then.
the series is pretty consistently episodic. It's probably getting saved for a joke later
I liked the chapter
I mean, this chapter wasn't bad, and it developed Janca... But it really wasn't funny at all. Not to dismiss a serious chapter from time to time, but I think the chapter that introduced the kids ghosts was already enough to show that Mitama can mop the floor with pretty much any flesh person. while being funny.
yeah it kind of fell flat for me. There was only one real joke and it was on the second last page. The spread is cool though
and the last page. Not the greatest chapter, but still somewhat amusing, and not diving headlong into what happened to Rena's dead means we get to keep living, probably

Thanks user.
Not a terrible chapter, but it was probably the least funniest chapter in the entire series. I'm a little surprised this only ended up being one chapter long because the the buildup and payoff was pretty lackluster compared to the Tapioca episode, which was basically this but a lot better.
Anyone notice how Mitama and Mashle had the exact same chapter today?
not really the exact same chapter, but holy shit those haymaker spreads
Some folks encouraged me to give the series a go in the last unity thread.
You guys have taste.
I'm still not feeling Mashle's new characters at all so the first half bored me, but the punch near the end was really cool. I think next chapter's gonna be a good one.
I love the bromance Mitama and Zobrio have.
At what point did you start legitimately liking the series? For me it was the day trip to the haunted tunnel.
I liked this chapter, I kinda liked the reminder that even though Joh is the butt of the joke it’s just because he’s scared of spirits and he’s actually super competent. It was a good bit of gap humor.
>I only lose to spirits
I love how this is simultaneously pitiful and badass.
Also, no El Padre in sight! We live for another volume, boys!
Spirit controller sorceress + physical muscle ninja is such a great combination.
A mix of Zobiro, Yuko, and this panel.
This chapter felt so out of place, or rather, out of order, back to when the two were strangers and Rena had to reign in Mitama rather than the opposite.
Strangely dark and serious.
Are they planning to pivot the story? Seems that way what with EL PADRE and this.
I think it's more a reminder of what Miitama's like on the job, since the opposite dynamic of the usual manga is all when he's really in casual mode.
The dark history chapter was sort of the same, thought it was more Mitama getting completely bullied while Rena stood on the side feeling bad for him.
There's no defined straight/funny man roles in this series anymore. You never know who's going to be the most serious character of the week and sometimes they even swap roles halfway through the chapter. But I really like it like that dynamic.
