It hurts bros

If he wanted to stop the manga he could at least ended it with Casca sane and happy.

Well, he ended it with her sane. So he threw us half a bone.

did it get """"""postponed""""" due to corona? Fucking Christ I thought I had something to live for

No it's postponed due to Miura being a lazy shit

Do you think Miura has writer's block? Autism? Or just boredom?

No, it always gets postponed because Miura's a lazy procrastinating faggot who loves Idolmaster too much. But I bet he'll use the pandemic as an excuse to continue being a lazy ass.

maybe I am just becoming schizo from spending time with the people that inhabit this site but I swear there was supposed to be a new chapter out yesterday? I'm dreadfully aware of Miura's hiatuses

Chapter 360 was released in the last Young Animal but no word on when 361 will be out. For all we know Miura hasn't even started work on it.

the Japanese government should just imprison him and force him to finish it. I've only been caught up for a few years I can't imagine how people who've been reading it longer must feel.

Do you guys rather him draw the end with stick figures like hxh?

that would probably be the biggest fuck you ever. it makes sense though, there is currently nothing driving the story at the moment besides the mystery of the moonlight boy.

I'd take a screenplay at this point

Why are the likes of Miura and Togashi allowed to get away with being such blatantly lazy pieces of shit? Isn't there anything in their contracts that obligates them to finish what they start?

this also means he can pretty much take the story in a number of sensible directions. He's done the opposite of writing himself into a corner and now has many options to finish it in a reasonable amount of time but he's a lazy old fuck so it will never end. The endless Casca memory bullshit having such an unsatisfying conclusion was pretty typical though and wasted a lot of time on nothing

All of the above + idolm@ster addiction

This

Miura kind of gets a pass since the art in Berserk is really difficult to draw and few can imitate him, on top of that he set up so many plot points that he himself probably doesn't even know hot to wrap up. Hence long hiatuses.
Togashi I genuinely don't know how he's getting away with it. His artstyle isn't that difficult to draw, the story isn't complicated and when he releases new chapters is just a whole bunch of text and characters explaining what's happening with their mental thoughts as filler.

Yea, i really dont get how they get away with this. I mean, if you look at every mangaka interview, they always talk about deadlines and stuff like that.

People like Miura have no deadlines. Its like they are the editor's friend who just submits occasional articles to magazine or newspaper whenever he feels like it.

Miura doesn't need Corona to postpone shit. Cry more
Next episode will be more loli witch academia and you will like it.

The canon ending is the one in our hearts.

The drawing isn't the problem. The problem is that Miura obviously doesn't know what to do with the characters anymore and is just hoping we forget about Guts and focus on our new protagonist Schierke.

When you're as good as Miura and Togashi you can just dab on your audience and do a chapter whenever you feel like it. This isn't really a job for them, more like a hobby. Do you guys not have your own personal projects? How fast a series is released is dependent on their level of passion. Miura wants to create a good story and Togashi wants to subvert more people. Yet they probably feel more passionate over other aspects of their life like idolmaster/dragon quest
It's actually perfectly natural if you think about it for a second.

>Do you guys not have your own personal projects?
None that involve blueballing literally millions of people across the globe for the sake of my own laziness.

>None that involve blueballing literally millions of people across the globe for the sake of my own laziness.

Who cares? Guts will literally kill Griffith who is saving millions. The point of Meruem is that enlightenment means not giving a fuck about your duties and doing what makes you happy.

They're both selfish assholes and they're talented enough they can get away with it. Cry more.

I bet you're a NEET.

just kill her and farnese off I'm willing to suspend disbelief if he just tells the story we want to see
I play music purely for myself and I'm way more productive than this old faggot. if I had millions of people wanting to see me in concert you'd better believe I'd be writing songs and working my ass off. If I was ever given an opportunity to escape wage slavery and do something out of passion I would give an arm leg and a nut but it's a huge fuck you to the fans that he doesnt give a shit about berserk

That's the thing. They are not wage slaves like you. Besides if you had to write songs for a concert then you're not just doing it for yourself any more are you?
Either way, I'm sure you can agree that you wouldn't want to rush a musician either who's trying to make the best album he can make. From what I'm seeing, Miura has just basically fallen out of love with writing and just wants to draw for the sake of drawing and Togashi doesn't seem to like drawing any more. It doesn't really matter though because , newsflash, they don't give a shit about what their audience wants. At least I can tell you that's the case with Berserk. Casca has spend 30 volumes being retarded. That just screams writer's block and him taking his sweet ass time to get to something done that should've been done long ago. Just think of Miura as your old has been grandpa that used to play really cool music but now he has alzheimers and can still play nice melodies from time to time but only touches his guitar whenever he feels like it. It's nice when it happens but you also understand you can't force him to play for you.

I think he has an ending he wants, but he doesn't have a method that feels 100% right to him to get there.

The ret conning for casca's outfit after she's 'healed', and the repeated motif of her getting triggered by Gutts. He's treading the same ground twice writing wise, it's hard to tell at this point if it's purposeful on his part or if he's hitting a writers block.

I can definitely see why he's taking his time, b/c it could turn into a lot, like on how Gutts deals with Griffith, moonlit kid, and that behelit he's still carrying.

It's an impass for gutts character where sticking around Casca feels as much like a potential mistake for both of them as leaving ( i.e. a repeat of the bad decision he made post eclipse).

I'm of the opinion though that gutts probably can't stick around on the island, he'd get stir crazy and he'd never feel safe putting off Killing Griffith. it would also continue hurting every time casca fails under the pressure of her past trauma to try to talk to him. Casca though isn't likely to find better help for her eclipse related PTSD outside of elfhime, or at least until she's ready to leave/ face Gutts & Griffith again without breaking down.

Ideally, I wish Miura would bypass the issue and just have the characters talk to each other through other means. I.e. Writing. Given Casca and Gutts probably don't have the education to address letters to each other, but there's plenty of people around them that probably do. I'm hoping if Gutts does have to leave elfhime, he's still bringing much of his party help as possible with him, with agreement this time between him, Casca and whoever who stays behind to reconvene in the future.

B/c while Casca's healing is a personal problem, Griffith and falconia isn't. I can't see Gutts waiting forever for Casca to get better, and Casca herself ( her past self anyways) didn't want to make Gutts wait on her either [i.e. what she tried to tell him, right before Griffith started the eclipse]

I just caught up to Berserk and I have to say that I have no issue with current Berserk. I think the tone change fits well into what's happening in the story. At the very least I think the last dozen or so chapters is better than what I remember of much of the boat trip. Miura just not releasing chapters is still a problem though.

The art does have issues though. I don't think it's overall bad but it seems to swing back and forth. I thought most of the art during Schierk's and Farnese's stuff inside Casca's dream was good.

it sounds like you agree with me but I'm not sure? if you think berserk is being rushed and that's why it bad and your on another level of delusion. Maybe your right that miura just cant write or draw anymore but then fucking figure something out. I honestly dont know what were arguing about but I still see miura as selfish and ultimately destroying his own legacy

the only reason your saying that is because you just caught up, research how this faggot has released berserk and you will feel a sudden anger and despair

The pirate arc was the worst part of berserk so far definitely. But it improved with the casca mind repair, rickert stuff and elf island overall. Too bad he's so fucking slow we might not even get off the island

He is selfish. Honestly if we were to wait for Miura to recover his old passion for Berserk then we might as well never get another chapter. Vagabond hasn't had a chapter in several years now but it's still considered a classic. I'd rather Miura not make any new chapters that further ruin his legacy desu. I still remember vagabond fondly but Berserk has become no different than your regular isekai. The decline in quality is honestly sickening. If it wasn't for Miura's amazing art then there would be no more reason for reading it.
Just compare the images in the eclipse the framing of the characters the concept of the monsters, everything feels so full of passion. The latest impacting drawings from Miura are Griffith's cripple body and Guts during Casca's flashback. You can see that both those pictures are beautiful because of the detail poured in them but they're nowhere near as innovative or creative as they used to be. In fact, the impact of those images depends on stuff that happened almost 30 volumes ago.

I'm rambling desu but yea I'd rather not get any Berserk chapter than keep on getting trolled by Miura year after year.

I should clairify that I was caught up before but stopped reading around the time Rickert showed up in Falconia. I was reading during the boat stuff and for some time before that so I know that suffering.

>we might never get off the boat
>now we might never get off the island

You probably skimmed the last arc or you just like isekai in general because since we got on the boat it really hasn't been any different from your regular isekai manga.
