From what I've been told, it's almost impossible to 'influence' Takahashi into anything she doesn't want to do, thanks to the Lum debacle. She was most likely approached with the possibility much earlier and mused about it before whipping out the story.
Why bring Inuyasha back when she can just rehash its story with different label?
What happened with Lum?
>thanks to the Lum debacle
Can you give me a basic gestalt on that?
Brand name? Also is Sunrise who is writing the story this time, Rumiko just greenlighted.
I’m really curious, Love tomboys
>Brand name?
Final Act bombed and the series hasn't been a topic of discussion for years but then again neither has Rumiko given how Rinne flopped and nobody is discussing MAO/
Are you retarded? Do you know how long anime development takes?
This. Also the fact that none of her works have gotten sequels till now makes me think that they were just waiting for her to give the okay
I looked some MAO pics and looks like Inuyasha but with cats instead of dogs.
Looking at the twitter and YouTube it seems a lot of people still care about Inuyasha.
Yes. Shogagukan wants money.
Sunrise is just reviving their old properties. See: City Hunter and Code Geass.
>a new series has been announced
>l-l-l-looks like people reallycare about Inuyasha after not talking about it for 12 years
Their last venture with Inuyasha bombed.
>City Hunter and Code Geass.
Those were just anniversary projects

Inyuashas back?
It's InuYasha's anime's 20th anniversary.
>October 16, 2000
The fuck are you talking about? InuYasha was still talked about plenty before the new series announcemen, Zig Forums was having multiple threads a month up to this point. I didn't keep up with Rinne but it ran for 40 volumes and the anime had 70 episodes, which is a fucking lot these days. MAO will get discussion when the anime airs.
>InuYasha was still talked about plenty before the new series announcemen, Zig Forums was having multiple threads a month up to this point.
No it wasn't you fucking liar.
>Series finished with proper closure
>wtf why is no one outside of my shitposting manchild forum talking about it years after the fact
Inuyasha was not widely discussed after it ended and even when Final Act was airing the threads were dead. Those threads were just nostalgiafags nostalfagging with the same "Inuyasha had the best music" and shipperfaggotry.
>I didn't keep up with Rinne but it ran for 40 volumes and the anime had 70 episodes, which is a fucking lot these days
Rinne had shitty sales and the only reason the anime ran that long was because it aired on NHK but even then they never thought to adapt the entire manga.
>Series finished with proper closure
>proper closure
More like people were just fucking sick of it by then and the ending was nothing to gawk about
>wtf why is no one outside of my shitposting manchild forum talking about it years after the fact
Series like FMA ended at the same time as Inuyasha and its still praised and highly rated unlike Inuyasha. This is just another Bleach situation where faggots pretend to get "hyped" due to MUH NOSTALGIA.
Because of overwhelmingly positive response to Lum, Rumiko was pressured to make her the main girl of UY rather than her self-insert - Shinobu.
>Does anyone else feel that Kimetsu no Yaiba succcess influenced Sunrise/Rumiko in bringing Inuyasha back?
No. KnY has a male cast and no yuribait.
that's a boy
Is this bait? Do you know how much more of an older, successful series Inuyasha is compared to Demon slayer?
>the series has been legal to fuck for the last 2 years
>8, if you're a youkai dog demon demigod
I was initially talking about the nostalgiafag threads. It may not be the discussion you like but people were still talking about it up to the announcement. InuYasha was so huge when I was a kid people I knew from back then still namedrop it once in a while. My friend from high school was even in the middle of a rewatch when this announcement happened.
Yeah, you're right about InuYasha running on for too long. I never even finished the original series, I just went back for Final Act a few years after it aired. FMA and FMAB were both good about telling their stories and ending when they needed to. InuYasha had a lot of faults but was fun to watch during youth as a babys first anime. I'm not here to hold a competition between series despite OPs shitty bait question.
