Fuck houses

you know what? i think i'm ok with not owning a house. fuck paying a 30 year loan and getting stressed over random shit breaking and shitty neighbors. who's with me?

only in burgerland you have to have a house and get defensive if you dont. here in germany nobody gives a fuck

You can add Leaf land to this list

Yeah man fuck equity just blow your money on rent with nothing to show for it.

Oh yeah and neighbors in apartments are 1000x worse.

that's how they get you. everyone tells you how you're missing out on the equity, but then a flood, earthquake or climate change happens and then you're underwater. it's a fucking trap i tell you

I want a house so I can make it how I want. I spend a lot of time inside the place I live and nothing is right. I want a nice kitchen, huge bathroom spa with sauna and steam shower, a home gym, an office, a home theater. I want soundproofing so I could sleep through wwiii. I want something that's mine and I can do whatever I want and not hear any shit about it. It doesn't take 30 years to pay back 150k and besides that it's a good 25% less than rent minimum for a good 25% more square footage. My apartment won't even let me paint the walls white so I'm stuck with ugly ass boomer beige.

>getting stressed over random shit breaking and shitty neighbors
How is this any different than renting?

Just buy a house for an amount a loan you can repay on 20years. Consider it to be a rent during those 20years. If you happen to lose the house during those 20years,"it was just a rent". Otherwise, "I won a house from my 20years of renting".

That's how you need to think about it fuckiing moron.

shittty neighbors, or neighbors or of any kind, is the only deal breaker really

A house only makes sense if you stay put in the same location for a decade. And with job security the way it is, that closes it a bad deal for a huge chunk of people, esp. singles looking for bigger salaries.

Cope. Im not okay with it and will never be

The average german is peak wageslave and poorer than the average greek du dummer hurensohn
>Every man needs to own his own house cuck

>built rental houses over the course of 5 years
>total land cost and materials cost was totaled to about $100k
>they’ve all paid themselves off and the rest is pure profit other than land taxes and yearly insurance premiums

Yes, fuck actually owning things. Slave away forever and pay a landlord. Trust me that it’s the best $800 bucks (+3% per year rent increase) you’ll spend every month.

american construction standards for suburban homes are really low, living near a city center isn't worth it anymore. if I can afford a ranch out in the country id consider it, but if property taxes shoot up im getting a large camper van and living on the road, it's not difficult

i don't want to live in your sheetrock shit house 5ft from my neighbor

15% of Canada's GDP is housing. We're so fucked

You are still paying a mortgage if you rent, just not yours

Yes.

>shitty neighbors
This is way off the mark friend. The quality of people that rent in an apartment is drastically different than people that can afford to live in neighborhoods/condos. I've done it all.

>apartment complexes
scum
>condos
moderately successful people, young yuppie families
>house
first off you're neighbors are in a completely different building, not living 10 feet away from you separated by a wall. You actually make friend with your neighbors.

>buy house
>in 5 years the neighbourg gets filled with albano-kosovars stealing shit
>always paranoid
>always limited to the shitty jobs near the area
>0 liquidity

great investment

No one but Yankees care about houses. They think it's some sort of status symbol.

*your

i'm gonna buy or build a big house on a lake once link moons

have fun wasting a shitload of your money on rent. a good house is the perfect protection against inflation and if you buy the right one and arent a lazy shitbag about general ezpz typical maintenance like cleaning, lawncare, etc it should be essentially maintenance free for decades
what is home insurance

my wife and i net $120,000 a year and we live in a very based very red small-medium town community. im not going to say where because i dont want people stinking up the place with their presences but life is perfect

Imagine being proud of of being part of a permanent underclass

Alternatively, rent. But also invest with residential real estate company. That way you invest in a prime city with good rtv not limited to where you live.

you dont want to make friends with your neighbors. do you want people coming up on your driveway and front door all the time? fuck that. my relationship with my neighbors is tim taylor to wilson, fence friendship. thats where it ends.

>decent house costs 500k - 600k in my area. not even talking about near downtown. actually in the semi undesirable parts
>need a garage; storage for my business activities
>need at least 2 bdrms; so i can live with someone as a 30 year old to help with the mortgage

can't wait to drop100k - 200k down payment just to have a roommate

meanwhile the businesses i buy have returned anywhere from 50% to 400% per year

No I agree, arms length. But it's a different vibe. An apartment complex is essentially like making friends in NYC. No one sees each other twice, the paradox of living like sardines and yet being so disconnected. A neighborhood is like making friends in a small town, the relationships are healthy/long lasting.

Even in a neighborhood you really are only making friends if you have kids that are the same age as the kids next door (or are the kid making friends next door). But my point is the quality of people is *generally* much higher in a cul de sac than a big apartment complex.

>doesnt buy a house
>in 5 years his rent has nearly doubled
>work all day for another man, then give all that money to another man so you are allowed to use his property
>always paranoid landlord might kick you out
>spent months searching for a halfway decent apartment in any bigger german city if you have to move out
>sometimes cant even own a fucking pet or smoke inside your home, because landlord might be against it

Meet me up if you need a bull to fuck your wife cuck

>need a garage; storage for my business activities

Oh ok Walter White.

>fence friendship
omg that's the word
thank you user, using this

>Rent Appartement
>The neighbours that live wall to wall with you are pieces of shit period
>always paranoid
>Have to let landlord in for routine controlls
>Cant build stuff around as you please
>Work so your landlord doesnt has to
