Think about how difficult it would be to extract any resources from the moon, there's no way we would be mining anything for less than millions of dollars an ounce from the moon and any asteroids would be at least 100 times further away than the moon is. It's absolutely farcical to think 20 dollar silver is threatened by asteroids in space waiting to be mined.

Gold and silver are some of the most liquid assets in the world and have always been able to be sold and exchanged for the local currency. Whether it's for US dollars or the eventual New World Order dollars, you can sell your gold and silver as needed for a few months of expenses. The point of metals is to transfer your economic energy from one currency paradigm to another, you don't necessarily have to spend it as currency for it to act as money.

Silver is the second most important industrial commodity out of any resource, second only to oil. Even gold which is used in electronics and jewellery has more intrinsic value than any currency or crypto. When they are used as monetary metals, it' basically guarantees than demand for them will never drop off a cliff as there will always be a demand for owning more money. Who wouldn't want more money? The demand side is not going to evaporate like what occurs during a speculative bubble.
