Baccano
This. I usually don't like battle harems but Vanadis is awesome, the only problem is that the anime was too short. I want more Eleonora too and also Tigre and Lewdmila.
If nothing else it had a somewhat better stopping point than a lot of battle harem do (Im looking at you Blade Dance) but I really just wanted to see more. It was a fun fantasy war anime and we don't get many of those. Seriously what else is there besides Arslan. And even that never gets full adaptations.
Tigre was such a good MC too.
Yeah, I'm at least glad there was a good ending for the arc but I wish the LNs got a more complete adaptation to make it more satisfying. They left quite a bit of stuff out, did you know there was supposed to be a bit when Tigre and Mila fought and killed a demon frog? That would have been cool to see.
I suppose it's just a problem with anime adaptations being just 1 cour these days. I love Vanadis but it's just painful how short the anime is, I miss when anime used to get over 20 episodes as the norm. Would have been nice for Vanadis to get that treatment.
You could certainly tell there was stuff left out and they were moving pretty fast, though to their credit they did a decent job of making it not feel like there was massive holes or chunks missing. Well out side the matter of Lady Not Appearing in this Anime.
But I'd like to read the novels. I'll have to check those out alongside the manga. Because it was fun. Im not sure why I didn't watch it back when it aired. Maybe I was just battle harem'd out.
Flying Witch
:(
Ben-to
Yes that is an annoying trend. I say it often myself but better to create an anime that can stand on it's own even if you have to be original with the themes and ideas and make fans of the brand than make a half hearted adaptation that just blue balls people. Vanadis fortunately was at least 3/4ths hearted. Worked well for Scrapped Princess anyways.
would you settle for s1 of the reboot
No. I don't really have any interest in that.
I really enjoyed Yuushibu and would have loved to seen more of it.
we’ve run out of potatoes
Yeah, I understand that sentiment and I hope you enjoy the novels too. Vanadis was the first anime that actually got me reading the LNs, I also recommend checking out some earlier parts in the anime in it to get a better idea what they're supposed to mean.
I still got the anime pretty fresh in mind having just watched it recently. Something to look forward to. I still wish the fantasy war genre was more of a thing. I'm surprised you didn't see more imitators after Lord of the Rings made GIANT EPIC BATTLES all popular for a while.
Damn I love Elen.
I read the manga up until about when the anime came out, then I forgot about this series. I see the manga is done now, how much of the novels does it cover?
not a lot it was just a promotion
Does it go beyond the anime or just sort the same thereabouts. Seems like Vol 2 ends at about episode 4ish.
I liked Vanadis, its references to Slavic legend, and the MC being an archer and a hunter.
I will add HybridxHeart. I hope the manga at least continues. While there is a completed light novel series, I want to see more of the action visually especially concerning Reiri.
irc about the same
It hurts so much bros
well a new perspective can be fun too.
I'd prefer Denyuuden or Alderamin get the S2.
Why do good shows not get second season or does having a second season make a show not good?
Baccano was better than it's little sibling that got like 3 seasons, but Keijo was ass, figuratively, metaphorically, and literally.
Fucking this
god i miss ben-to
I don't know man, but it ain't right I tell you.
>Alderamin
didn't people hate the anime adaption because of the art?
This needs to come back
and almost time for a rewatch
