Is there a more difficult and taxing job than being a mangaka? Toriyama who had to write and draw his chapters weekly, I don't think there is a more difficult job in the entertainment industry than being a weekly mangaka. I fully support Togashi taking breaks after what he was put through.

99% of weekly manga is trash anyway

And then you'd proceed to read manga for free. Nice compassion you have there.

Doesn't matter. They can be complete trash but what Kubo and the like did is insanely harder than making a well done film with all the time in the world.

I refuse to believe he ever worked that hard on that napkin-scribble wrote-as-he-went shitfest. I'm gonna keep pirating. Seethe.

>he said while he spends his day shitposting

Does he have any proof of this? That schedule is sustainable for 2 months tops. Sounds fake.

I swear I've seen the exact same image but credited to "an anonymous mangaka"

Mangaka are known for being extreme hardworkers and there's cases of a lot of them dying young cause they quite literally work themselves to death. Plus aren't there cases where mangaka like Oda only sees his family a few times a year and lives in a studio.

Seems like the ideal job here is as editor

Seethe harder shounenfag.

Face it, this extreme cutthroat and workaholic culture is why mangaka is better than the shitshow that is the current western comics scene though. This type of rigorous slavework is what's needed to ensure quality and stop manga from devolving into the shitfest that modern SJW comics have fallen to where it feels like authors are handpicked from fucking tumblr.

I'm not a shounenfag & that's not the point I was making. It's easy to criticize hard workers when you do nothing.

SnK is the ultimate proof of this. Isayama only works about 3/4ths as hard as his peers and his manga became cringevengers egalitarian war-bad hogshit

>it doesn't matter if it looks like the scribbles of a nearsighted 5 year old and the plot is an unplanned mess because they worked haaarrrdd

This schedule is outdated.
Mangaka’s have a pretty sweet schedules now, 3 days off a week.

>a NEET with no accomplishments is an authority on quality

What weekly mangaka do is a million times harder than making a quality film when you have all the time in the world. Especially if the mangaka both writes and illustrates the series.

>implying
Also, projecting much?

>not doing anything is better than making the most of your average abilities
You have the mentality of a loser.

So in that regard you can make the argument that a long running quality weekly manga where the author illustrates and writes the storty is quite possibly the best accomplishment one can produce in entertainment.

If that's the argument you'll make, then you're projecting as well, shounenfag.

If you sell your soul to WSJ you deserve no pity

The fuck are you even talking about

If it's that easy then why don't you do it?

This guy only eats breakfast on Mondays and Sundays. Wtf

im scared i dont want to do things weekly i have a great anime concept tho

>speedlooker

Looking at that many mangaka of weekly series shitpost on twitter or show off their newest bought shit.

I think that's bullshit.

>Hiroshi Shiibashi

a literal who, who problably didn't have the budget to hire assitants

>no reading comprehension
As expected.

Be a seinen mangaka instead

>weekly shounen jump
Into the trash it goes
