frankly it makes me lose hope in the anime industry period. You get a huge hit with OPM and ruin it by waiting 5 years for a poorly made s2. Same with snk, we had to wait 5 years for a short s2 killing all hype and now it is even changing studios. If such huge hits can't even maintain quality there is no hope.

Pretty upset the first episode, then cooled down and went along with it. More than anything, I was baffled at some of the decisions made, animation going down was something to be expected, as well as QUALITY, but the choice of coloring and such made it look outright ugly most of the time, and the sound direction was pretty awful too. I won't rip on the music, but I'll say tracks appeared or stopped in awkward ways way too often.

It was popular in the west, sure, but it was never this "huge hit" you're making it out to be. Not to mention that S1 was a passion project made by some of the best in the industry. They will naturally be busy doing other jobs, and you either wait several years longer or get what you're served.
