Why is Deku constantly criticized for charging against the slime villain but Mumen Rider gets a free pass for the retarded crap he pulled against the Deep Sea King?

Mumen rider is a licensed hero, he is fully aware of the high risk of death in his work, if he charges against a villain and dies, that is regretful, but he was an adult and knew what he was doing.

Deku is a civilian living in a world where people are told over and over to not fight villains if they dont have training and the official license to be heroes, and its even worse if they have no quirks, at best they will die, at worst they will become hostages and make things harder for the heroes.
What Deku did was admirable, but things could easily have gone south, with Deku and some heroes dead for his actions.

There were a bunch of pros on scene and none of them were going to try, only wait for a hero with better compatibility to arrive. Meanwhile, a quirkless child throwing his backpack at the sludge monster was able to stall the takeover the slime monster was attempting. The heroes on scene could have probably done something and didn't. The heroes, including All Might, were unwilling to put themselves in danger to save someone.

This a a bad comparison. You should be comparing MHA and OPM hero instead. OPM hero try to stall while the MHA hero are compemt with it being a bad match up.

Only reason i can think of is because Deku went to save his boyfriend while mumen saved regular people,you could say Mumen was more heroic.

In mumen rider case, he was still useful somewhat, if no one was there to stop or stall him, sea king would have already killed many of the civilains and heroes behind him by the time saitama arrived.
There are times in hostage situations where the cops must put themselves at risk in disadvantageous situations, because waiting any longer just results in hostages being killed.

deku ran towards an hostage situation where heroes already had arrived whit no plan beyond scratching the slime monster while potentially giving the slime yet another hostage, had all might not been there the whole situation would've become worse .
