Should Takumi have lost a race?

Should Takumi have lost a race?

no since he is the initial d

Godhand had his ass beat

My nigga shingo should have won

If he won his way he'd be dead

Was godhand the one who threw up or was that someone else?

the point of Takumi is like the same as Akagi

They never lost a match because both of them are living legends

didn't his engine blow up in one race?

Yup, he lost a race through engine blow up.

But they didnt count it so they said he was still undefeated

Yes, but he was holding back the entire race just playing with Takumi

No, he's the main character of the show. Why do you want him to lose?

there's no stakes if we know he's just going to win every time user, it makes the show boring to watch. it's the same thing with episodic monster of the week shit.

Yes. He should have got cocky, raced his old man and got absolutely raped. Also Mako had him beat until her tfw no bf autism put her off driving.

No. But He should have driven an 80s BMW

This, it's the same with Himura Kenshin.
They're already at the top of their respective arts, therefore their stories aren't about getting better but rather the personal challenges they face from where they are.
Well that and a healthy bit of showing off.

anyone stop after watching season 1? feel like that was a good spot to end
fee like I'll be disappointed with more

Second season is alright, first season is timeless though yeah.

Second season is still pretty great. Later stuff is kind of a guilty pleasure: it obviously loses tons of value, you won't like what happened to the series and you'll never admit you've enjoyed it, but you'll be excited about what's happening anyway. Guess that's the nature of this genre.

Too bad that even if they made an MF Ghost anime the character design would look like Initial D seasons 4-6.

It got boring after he grad form highschool
at least for me

>Evos are the bad guys
what did they mean by this?

the later seasons are definitely better for me. the early seasons focused too much on things that werent racing and those were all boring

Stage 3 (the movie) is comfy as fuck imo.
last race should have been Itsuki in his turbo AE85. Literally any outcome would have been fine
>wins, tells Itsuki that being friends is more important and offers to teach him the ways of dorifto
>loses, tells Itsuki he's proud of how far he's come and says he can't wait for a rematch
>left a mystery, just two friends on the downhill having the time of their lives.
>shingo rams them both through the guard rail for payback killing all 3 of them.

first season is absolute kino, there is nothing else like it. Second season more or less has the same vibe, the part 3 movies also were really good additions to the story, but by part four, the SoL aspect of the show had been completely cut and it was focused solely on racing, kind of tiring to just watch that. Season 4 is where I dropped.

DO YOU LIKE MY CAR

Itsuki becoming irrelevant did a lot to kill the overall vibe of the series I think. Didn't care for him much early on but you don't realise how much those interactions he brings adds until they're gone.

He did lose a race.
Don't you remember him blowing the engine?

Mitsubishi owners are assholes.

male pattern baldness evo man specifically told him it didn't count. This is due to Mitsu drivers being faggots IRL so it translated over to the story nicely.
