What is the absolute worst battle shonen series you have ever read to completion?
Personally, pic extremely related.
What is the absolute worst battle shonen series you have ever read to completion?
Black Clover or Fairy Tail
Bleach
Pic related
Kimetsu
Nura ( yukiona and the yokai design at least save thjs one for me)
Beelzebub ( not so much as some joke i find funny and funruichin is based general)
Bleach
>Fairy Tail
Gave up after volume 51. Jesuschrist... I still can't believe I made it that far
I feel you bro
>Kimetsu
Wait is it bad? I haven't started it yet. Everyone seems to be pretty hyped about the series
I wouldn't call Kimetsu bad, just horribly generic.
I heard the anime is good, but then again it's ufotable so not a huge surprise.
One Piece.
Me too. I hated the ending
Question made me oddly proud of myself because I have never finished a bad manga. Probably because they're all free and I don't have any sunk cost fallacy about ejecting.
>Black Clover
>One Piece
Not completed
Meant to quote this guy too
For me it's Fairy Tail
Fairy Tail is a concussion in manga form- I read that shit beginning to end and I had to go back and read whole volumes again regularly because my brain just refused to retain anything from it. There'd be flashbacks or references to stuff that happened and I'd just be baffled and confused and my mouth would taste like copper because I wouldn't remember it and had to go back to confirm. Fairy Tail caused me to lose tiime.
Bleach
Naruto
Nanatsu no Taizai
I don't know how you can say anything else but this.
Even other bad Shounen have MCs who don't rely on magic drugs or at the VERY, BARE MINIMUM have girls that aren't bland as fuck.
Chrome was the only worthwhile girl and she's just a vessel for an unlikable edgelord
>Even other bad Shounen have MCs who don't rely on magic drugs or at the VERY, BARE MINIMUM have girls that aren't bland as fuck
it has worse problems but yeah
this
Not to me.
Tsuna broke me, especially after his """"""Fight"""""" with Genshiki if you want to call it that
my favorite part was after Tsuna defeats what is basically a demigod he still gets told he ain't shit by his dad
Please. PLEASE don't remind me that.
I liked Baki but the way they just shitted on Muhammad Ali Jr. was sickening
I still cant get over how the MC didnt change one bit from start to end. The last chapter had him being the exact same sperg he was at the outset despite all the crazy fights he'd been in,
>to completion
The worse ones are the ones that you never finish due to dropping it.
seriously just look at this its a comparison between the first and last chapter, how can you write 400 chapters and have your mc not grow one bit
There was no inclination to show that he'd grown in any capacity and he was still freaking out over being involved with Vongola despite having an idea on a potential future self. From zero to zero indeed.
To be fair, that's what happens when your series gets axed. They give these guys like a few short weeks to wrap everything up and from the it looks of it, Reborn's mangaka probably ended up reusing panels because of how little time they had.
But would it be so hard to show him being a little more competent, or at least somewhat serious about his future after the shit he'd been through?
>axed
I thought it finished well, but now that I google it, the series went down the bottom 5 during the last arcs
Long-running series almost always let the magazine know 6 months in advance when they are going to end, she's just a terrible right.
To-Shit-Ru and it's not even a contest.
Though I kind make use of the fact that it had a separate sequel title, but it should still count if I dropped the sequel early, right?
I read Hitman Reborn and Rosario + Vampire (both manga only, not touching the shitty anime filler and anime original endings) and I only finished it in hopes it'd "transit over from a gag-series to a regular shounen" and the gags themselves were probably the worst and most repetetive bullshit I have ever seen in any series, even the gag-parts of the two aforementioned titles cannot even remotely compare to to-shit-ru. Definitly not worst manga that I read to "completion" (sequel not included) but also the worst manga in general that I ever read. I wish I could get my time back...
*terrible writer.
>I thought it finished well
A damn alien showed up at the last minute to explained random retarded plot points. How the fuck is any of that considered "well"?
KHR at least had some redeeming features like entertaining powers and art. KnY was way worse and I still ended up finishing it for some reason.
I wasn't refering to the plot, user. I thought the series ended in a high popularity point. It is a shitty series, but SOMEHOW it had big sale numbers
Why the fuck do people keep saying the powers were interesting? They were Lantern Rings that opened up Pokemon boxes
You are fucking stupid if you think a mediocre shonen is worse than a poorly written garbage series.
>Write a story revolving around mafia
>Don't do any mafia things. At all.
>Make it a generic shounen
It didn't even have actual waifus except for, what was it? Lal Mirch and maybe Chrome?
the only battle shonen I've ever read to completion was Kengan Asura, so I guess it's technically the worst
I wouldn't consider TLR a battle shonen. There are some minor fights but it's more of a gag manga.
KnY was a poorly written garbage series, yes. What about it?
>but SOMEHOW it had big sale numbers
Fujos.
>To-Shit-Ru
>Battle shonen
idiot
And Reborn is mediocre. Sure, retard.
