is coffee good for you?

It's not?

Why do mangakas do this? They are like some terrible mother who prioritizes between her own chldren

By being Prison School

It is on some aspects and not on others. It also generally depends on your consumption frequency

This is now a "woah the author really fucked up" thread, post manga or specific pages.

I wish it lasted longer, but the ending was very fitting all things considered.

I assume the artist just gave up and ended it out of spite. Amazing he was able to start a brand new series almost right away without any trouble from the publisher.

The idiot didn't know where to go from that dumb school event with Meiko swapping in-between her personalities and kept dragging it on and on. Fans lost interest and it's ratings start plummeting as a result, forcing the manga to get an ending deadline before it was pulled. He was forced to give a rush ending because he lazily dragged a story longer than it should have gone. I doubt he figured out who he wanted the MC to end up with and that's why it ended the way it did. He just had the MC permanently burn bridges with everyone so nobody won.

>but the ending was very fitting all things considered.
It really wasn't. The manga was always lighthearted and this felt like a rushed downer ending. Nothing was solved and the only one who made it out in a better situation was Marie, who had a fake redemption arc where everyone forgave her for doing nothing redeemable.

>implying it wasn't the magazine trying to leech as much as they could from PS

It could have been both. The author still chose to force repeat chapters where Meiko did nothing but drink soda, turn back to her normal self, turn back to her original self, drink soda, and repeat.

Spoilers: Hiramoto doesn't give a SINGLE FUCK about Prison School. It's a stupid piece of shit and he knows it. Prison School was made for retarded plebs like you who are a dime a dozen. Literally the only reason he wrote Prison School was to get a check and appease his editorial department so that he could get his real work, "Me and the Devil Blues" back into serialization. He sold out for art.

I'm 70% of the way through but worried about finishing since I keep hearing it ends awfully. I may just call it here.

>I know I'm just as upset as everyone else in this thread but let me go full autist and pretend how I feel is reality

At least his new series focuses on a cute trap

Don't project your anal sex faggotry onto me. I'm telling you the simple truth about why an author like Hiramoto made fanservice slop like Prison School.

In Prison School the radical feminist is proven right in her assessment that letting the men into school is a bad idea because they are scum bags and the one girl to fully trust them ends up betrayed and traumatized.

That's the ultimate message of the manga and it understandably left a lot of us sour

The MC ends up permanently burning bridges with every character but his original three friends. Hana leaves him completely depressed, Marie fucks off to collage or whatever future stuff she's going to do, Meiko is doing... i forget, the new console is also doing something I don't remember, and Chiyo ends up becoming a worse Marie. It all stems from the final chapters a series of misunderstandings ends up making everyone despise the MC. It's a literal bad ending but canon.

damn I was really pulling through for Hana.
Shame.

>I'm telling you the simple truth about why an author like Hiramoto made fanservice slop like Prison School.
You're ass hurt and spouting nonsense. Hiramoto made a fanservice manga like Prison School because he loves fanservice and porn. He literally did doujin before, after, and while working on Prison School. He did two doujin stories of a NOT-Meiko mother getting fucked by her son for crying out loud.

Attached: file.png (1280x896, 699.48K)

He literally restarted Devil Blues during the height of Prison School. It had been out of serialization for six years at that point. Literally one year after he got Devil Blues back into serialization, he ended Prison School. Coincidence? Fuck no. He made Prison School to appease his publisher so that he could get Devil Blues back into serialization.

Nobody wins. Even Hanafags were upset for Chiyofags at what they did to her. Hana just leaves the MC and Chiyo gets traumatized after catching the MC wearing Hana's (don't remember if she knew it was Hana's) panties and becomes an even worse men hater than Marie does. Marie is shown happily looking towards the future on a plane ride to wherever, despite her sister being left in a literal broken state. Nothing makes sense and it feels like none of the characters left off knowing what happened to the others. The MC's friends have their girlfriends and are happy but the MC is stuck being forever alone and despised.

>Coincidence? Fuck no.
Whatever you say, user. I'm sure it had nothing to do with him not knowing how to continue the story and still being attached to one of his previous works.

Your denial is both hilarious and sad.
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT THERE'S NO WAY THERE'S JUST NO WAY NO NO NO NONOOOOOOOOOOOO

Then explain why he started a new manga then?

The same reason. To appease editors. Devil Blues is a niche title. It doesn't sell well. He has to keep his bosses pleased with sales.

>strawmanning this hard
I honestly can't tell which is worst. You're not only projecting your salt over Prison School's outcome but you also spoke out of your ass when you said he only did "fanservice slop", proving you had didn't know a thing about your claims. The guy was so obsessed with fan-service and porn that he had two different doujin artists personas. DAIGO is the pen name he took on after Prison School but he had another and still did fetish stories before then. He also constantly drew ecchi art on the side during his streams of Prison School. There's also the fact that he worked on other fanservice related mangas before Prison School had even started. It's odd that you're so fixated on the idea that he did it all to get back to Blues when they already allowed him to publish multiple other mangas after Blues even before he started Prison School. He even moved onto new mangas after Prison School, soo how's your narrative making any sense?

Source is your ass.

Attached: didn't read.jpg (246x205, 7.1K)

...Source for this?

Just finish it you pussy.

This one went to shit when the high school musical arc happened

And why would he need to appease those editors to get back into Devil Blues? The other mangas he worked on before Prison School did sell well and he's also returned to work on RaW Hero related stuff during Prison School AND his return to Devil Blues. Maybe he's just shit at handling his business and nothing else. You're whole idea that everything was a meme to get back to Devil Blues falls apart when you actually look at the guy's work history and his side hentai works. The fact that more than 80% of his work his either fan service and hentai in general doesn't add up with your forced narrative that he only did "fanservice slop" to get back to Devil Blues, since he's done fanservice and actual porn on his own time. The fact that he went back to RaW Hero during his return to Devil Blues also doesn't make sense with your argument.

just search "DIAGO" under artist names. I forgot the alias he took on for his works previous to his DIAGO era stuff. His DIAGO works are usually milf or woman in power being mixed with shotas or younger males.

>I'm not a bad writer, I was just pretending!

>he thinks diago is hiramoto

There's multiple chapters under different names but "S-kke Mama no Kibishii Kozukuri Seikyouiku" is a start for his NOT-(mommy)Meiko stories.

Attached: file.png (1120x1600, 1.53M)

>still pretending that the ending was the problem
The last 17 volumes were the disaster.

I think it still could be saved after that, the quality was worse in that arc, but was still not bad. Even the final part of the manga could still be saved, the chapter just before the ending was okay, even if leap to the future was a bit retarded. BUT the final chapter really ruins everything.
With that said, I agree that direction the author took with musical arc was more easy going and romance-oriented, but it was still nice seeing how Imamura wanted represent his feeling.

One of those forced meme theories. Don't worry about it.

>same art style
>conveniently NOT version of a character he likes to draw
>diago started releasing more stuff during prison school's downtime and then ceased when hiramoto went full into his Hero stuff.
This wouldn't be the first time a mainstream author has worked on hentai with a pen name. The Shokugeki no Souma author used to do hentai under a pen name too. The only time we ever get real confirmations of it is when the author uses the same exact name or confirms it, which rarely happens.

>One of those forced meme theories.
>he thinks his theory on hiramoto only pretending to be bad at continuing stories makes more sense than a doujin author with the same exact art style and character ideas being the same person.

even if he isn't Diago there's also this.
