You know I never understand why people are so sure that Meruem will never be surpassed after the HORRIBLE powercreep this series went through. Fucking Toguro became a literal who at the end of the series. Even Sensui did as well. I see no reason as to why every troupe member and their mother (so long as they make it far enough) would surpass the RG at least.

the implication at the end of the york new arc was that the spider won, they got chrollo back, they got intel on kurapika, kurapika lost his best chance at killing the spider. chrollo's nen seal being temporary was a natural extension of that.

gon gave up the potential to ever use Nen again. so, even if he has aura because he's still a living being, he can't use Nen. Togashi reconfirmed this in the chapter 381 color page.

That Kurapika guy seems like a big deal, especially with all the images posed about HxH being good and the fact he was apparently good enough to blatantly rip off. Are you sure he didn't just quietly replace as the protagonist? It's not like Togashi has any reason to bring Gon back, he's already deconstructed or subverted shit and it'd be more ballsy than Toriyama to do it and actually stick with.

I can't wait for Kurapika's "life shortening" to not matter at all outside of maybe a footnote in the epilogue. If HXH ever finishes at least.

A lot of powercreep is bad in everything, haki isn't really powercreep as it only serves to nerf logias, it doesn't raise the power ceiling any higher. Meruem was introdeced far into the series out of nowhere and he was supposed to be the power ceiling but he has since been creeped.
