Shit’s garbage. Reminds me of bakemonogatari. It’s a show for midwits, nobody who isn’t native japanese will actually understand it. You want to fuck the characters and have to make up some reason other than that to defend why you like it. You probably see it as an “intelligent show” and want to signal that to fit in. Shits garbage.
Shit’s garbage. Reminds me of bakemonogatari. It’s a show for midwits...
this is really bad bait
Thanks for the blog post
>no arguments
Sasuga nu/a/
It's smart because of the subtext (satire of Japanese class politics and social standards).
This is just pretentious shit like bakemonogatari where you jerk off to the characters but that’s not a satisfactory explanation to why it’s good so you pretend to be a native japanese right? It’s just straight up not good. Any explanations to why you actually enjoy it that aren’t purely subjective and could be broken down into “I like eating shit?” Thanks.
But you aren’t Japanese and don’t understand it fully so you pretend to understand to fit in. Just like bakemonogatari when people say the localized subtitles using play on words that only Japanese would understand is “good dialogue.” Just comes off as midwit intelligence signaling reddit trash. You fap to the doujins, just admit it.
>. Any explanations to why you actually enjoy it that aren’t purely subjective
Everything is subjective, retard.
>Why aren't you arguing against my bait?!?!?
HAHAHAHAHAHA
There's no arguments in your post about the show that we can rebut.
Not OP, but he posits a good question that I was wondering as well. I made a separate, non-bait thread here:
>it’s bait because I disagree
So this is how the world ended up like it did. Whoa...
It’s not good. It’s like people who pretend to like joshiraku or whatever the fuck.
How many times have you ban evaded tonight?
About as many times as you have had sex.
That's not an argument either
And neither is that. Assert why you like it.
Because it has deep characterization, realistic character development and story arcs, and meaningful commentary on real-life Japanese society. It's well written and the art is fantastic.
Kek no normalfag is watching this to feel smart. I think you're too euphoric to realize people don't normally watch things to feel pretentious.
You may as well have read off a script. The art is the only good thing about it. Don’t even pretend you have any insight into Japanese society.
>intelligent show
Lol the characters are fucking stupid mate, I watch it because it's fun and that's that. Pull the stick out of your arse
It's not smart. Aka already apologized for that.
Yup, this show is reddit. Cy@ nerds.
>Cy@
Seek the rope dumb fuck
Somebody got booty touched on video games. git gud
>implying ill even respond seriously
>I lose
Thanks for playing.
OP is right
always hilarious to see some EOP saying they """"enjoyed"" Joshiraku or shows like it
The show is explicitly trying not to depict Japanese society. Rather it takes place in an alternate universe where the zaibatsu still exist and dominate Japan, the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter is historical rather than a myth, and the student council president of Shuchi'in wears an aiguillette made from the gold leaf of the medals of Shuchi'in alumni who died during WW2. You're so far up your own arse you don't even realise how much of a stupid fag you're being. Kill yourself
Thats what your mother said to me last night #based #rekt
Contrarians are pretty fucking cringe
>OP is retarded
Color me surprised.
Anyways, I've been re-reading the latest volumes and all the Subject F bullying is so much fun. Also based dad.
Based. Same with bakemonogatari. Redditoids pretend to like this shit because of pretty colors and cute girls. Only non sub 120 iq comment in the entire thread.
>I’m retarded
Okay.
Shirogane looks so happy.
People who like shit to fit in are pretty cringe.
Okay, assuming this isnt bait, but the average western viewer doesn't know all that. What's the appeal for them?
>zaibatsu still exist and dominate Japan, the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter is historical rather than a myth
imagine taking a Aka's joke ths serious
if you didn't know, yes, that was a joke from Aka
The Shinomiya family IS a zaibatsu you dumb fuck
What's even your point? Are you trying to say that a westerner can't be well-versed in Japanese culture?
Its a good romcom? Its enganging and makes people laugh.
Is it?
I think it's funny, but I guess it's time to kill myself because I don't watch anime to feel intelligent.
Wait. There are people who think Kaguya is hard to get if you are not Japanese?
Holy fuck this is hilariously embarrassing.
>feel intelligent
Literally who does that? Ergo Proxy aired like 14 years ago, it's time to move on.
No point, but I'm pretty sure the average westerner doesn't know that much about Japanese culture. And yet the show is very popular in the west, too.
Yes. What makes you even think that there is something to "understand" in the first place?
The feeling that you believe that people who pretend to like this show to feel intelligent know themselves that they do so let’s me know you have no clue how the human mind works.
Because it's an engaging romcom with jokes and situations that are universally relatable. The characters and the premise aren't particularly intelligent, you're completely missing the point.
I’m not sure if your image was supposed to support your argument or if you have autism.
I enjoy it because it is international relations / security studies done on the micro level, facing the exact same problems that two countries or actors face when attempting to bargain/negotiate, but all within a high school romance setting. It has trivialised one of the most complex interdisciplinary subjects there is.
It is fucking hilarious and there's nothing quite like it.
IGN: 10/10
Nice how you avoid the question.
Planning to read it. There isn't dumb japanese wordplays in every chapter like in Bakemonogatari, right? I hated that.
There is, but it's better for it. Learn along if you want to enjoy it properly.
Damn right it is a 10/10. There's very few shows that have been able to make me laugh like this.
Fun things are fun.
>Reminds me of bakemonogatari
Theres a very specific reason for that.
