Why did mecha die

Cause you are breathing manually

Demented fanbase that only wants waifus or the same dogshit storylines
>muh war is bad
>friendship was the real mecha
>something something autistic character discovers his feeling

Too many shows where mecha were just background decoration instead of the needed tools for the plot.

CG

now look here u shit

mecha peaked in the 80s and 90s with shows like Patlabor, Evangelion, and Bubblegum Crisis. It was pretty much coasting on nostalgic coolness after that.

I think the only mechas I've enjoyed for being mecha lately have been the Muv Luvs. I'm over real robot acting like super robots and I prefer seeing machines get wrecked.

Strelitzia a cute

barely even qualifies as a robot. being stuck in a shit series doesn't help.

Viewers don't have enough patient for 36+ episodes.

u cant sex the robot

It didn't you faggot

It didn't, there are loads of them still being made.
>but they're kids shows
They always were
>but i don't like them
By that standard isekai is a dead genre.

not enough cute robots

Studio's realized that CGI was way cheaper, but mecha fans have a particular hatred for it because part of what made mecha great in it's halcyon days was it's attention to hand drawn detail. While I think that animators would have gotten good at CGI (Gridman is the only example I can think of) the dark age of moe landed a fatal blow when studios also realized that coomer NEETs will take a FotM waifu over a loving crafted robot just cause they can imagine their dick inside her.

Times change

Mecha didn't die.

Same reason why giant monster movies aren't popular anymore.
The genre got stale

God damn I love Franxx

Science fiction as a whole has declined.

Then why is shonenshit so popular ? Hundreds of episodes.

I wish DitF got some video games or a spinoff, the world seems ripe for some things beyond the anime characters.

I can't even describe how i am happy about that. I absolutely despise this shit genre and glad industry don't want to spend money on it.

DITF was great nuff said

It appeals to the lowest common denominator

Samefag. With shit taste.

You sound like a nigger that swears that one piece gets good after episode 5435843658436854

They say if you cope hard enough, your anime stops being a meme

That's how shit Franxx was.
