I know that this is kind of small brain logic, but I would have liked it if there was an actual reveal with definitive answers for the questions asked in the show, instead of the answers to all the mysteries being essentially nothing more than speculation.

I can't think of any mysteries that really needed explaining. There could be more stuff about Glie, but I can't see it being all that relevant. More detail on the girls' past lives would be detrimental.

Absolutely boring Yuri slog. Would have been fine if the world was explored more because it was decent world building and I get that it's short so that's hard to do but holy sit were more of their interactions bad and boring.

Can't put my finger on it but something about the characters was lifeless, their interactions felt like an alien's understanding of humans. When Kuu passed on and Rakka got all mopey and depressed, I didn't buy it at all and just got annoyed. Reminded me of when that one dude died in Gunbuster and Noriko shut down even though she talked to him maybe twice.

Fun fact: the setting is based on a Haruki Murakami novel "Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World" but the two works have totally different characters and plots.
