I'M SEETHING AT THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T TELL BY LOOKING

Deku

Deku is a rather unlikable faggot.

starts with a D and ends with a eku

>Too many underdeveloped characters

I think this stems from Hori getting pressure to make the next Naruto. Kishi found a way to develop 80% of his characters even if he didn't use them much. Seriously, almost every named character in Naruto has an extensive backstory.

Hori does this thing I hate in shonen where he decides to flesh out a character's backstory when they're either about to die or have a great victory.

>Not enough variety in story arcs

Training arc, Contest/Tournament arc, Villain arc, repeat

>Bakugo is a faggot

Edgy anime rival turned up to 11. Unlike Sasuke and Vegeta, he has no reason to be edgy and also unlike them, nobody ever calls him out on its bullshit.

>Names

Personal complaint I know but this is the first time I've had a hard time remembering everyone's names in a shonen. I dont know what it is.

>Iida is not a flash
>Kaminari is not the super shock
>Mineta is a great character, but it makes no sense to have entered the class of heroes
>heroes are government dogs
>Stain was arrested
>Monoma is not the protagonist
>Mirio was unnecessary and disposable
>The invisible girl is not able to make others see mirages

The little green haired faggot who’s name has “De” and “ku” in it.

Dekus literally the only weak spot of the series which is fucking hilarious since he's the MC and zoomies genuinely like him and want to be like him.

>only

The characters are more 1 dimensional than most kids cartoons.

There's no discussion on why they want to be a hero, the pressure they feel. Its almost always "I want to be a hero, I want to make my family proud" and thats it. Not about how they struggle with it emotionally or how there are downsides. They sound like toddlers who dont know that you can disobey your parents.

The villains are just as bad. They just differ in their ideology on society. Nothing about using their powers to get money or anything, no the main villains are just ideologies masquerading as people.

And theres no character development.

Its really bad, especially if you like character oriented shows.

Deku went from the most annoying shonen protagonist to the most boring shonen protagonist.

decuck

the story is weak, the direction and story telling is weak, the characters are one dimensional, things like their powers are totally dumb. The publisher, studios etc obviously have the funding yet the work produced is mediocre at best. The year is 2020 and I dont know why or how people even accept something like this.

Cuckold fanbase

The problem is story structure. Hori forgets the 1st rule of a good story is 1st something bad happens, and then it gets worse. He doesn't do the gets worse part. The villains lose far too early. We never get to see their plans go anywhere or really challenge the heroes. For example sting. What if, instead of getting thrown in jail and forgotten, he instead inspires a bunch of new vigilante heroes. Ones who operate outside the heroe system. Maybe a vigilante heroe kills a powerful villain and become the most popular heroe, upsetting the faith in the current system. We don't get to see anything challenge the status quo, even though that is the motivation for most of the villains in the series. They're all just jobbers.

>Hori forgets the 1st rule of a good story
He hasnt forgotten, he is just a poor story teller and never knew such thing in the first place

Bakugou and Deku aren’t canonically boyfriends

Deku lost all the charm he had at the beginning and doesn't develop as a character.
Bakugo is never justified in his personality and never tones it down. They had a chance to fix him after the best jeanist internship and injury but they chose to just have him just trucking. Bottomline, there's no way he would make it as a hero no matter how talented he is.

>He doesn't do the gets worse part
are you fucking retarded?

>Miruko got mangled taking on 5 high ends
>Twice died
>Shiggy just woke up
>Hawks almost died
>Giga just woke up

this is very different than the beginning when the heroes were clearly winning
speedreading armchair editor brainlets should stick to spongebob

They threw away a perfectly good premise of a non powered hero in a powered world.

Bakugou. He's a total asshat and everyone just seems content to ignore that for whatever reason. He's such a fucking Gary Stu that he can't even mess up without someone going sugoi.
But he milks in fujo bucks, so he won't change even though he's already had a dozen character arcs.
>all the retards itt saying Deku
Deku's the personification of Bakugou's problem. He was harassed on a daily basis and still sucks Bakugou's dick for seemingly no reason.
This talk of him being a faggot or cuck comes from the Bakugou dicksucking, not his actual character.
Outside of that, he's generic shonen tier. Bland but serviceable.

Deku is a doormat. Baku is a prick.

Deku's interactions with Bakugou
Too many characters being sidelined
Some action panels are hard to follow
Powercreep is getting ridiculous

the protagonist
the absolute lack of anything that's happened in years of runtime
not actually being a show about superheroes, instead it's about cops with mutant powers

japanese society cuck mentality about not standing out or challenging authority which means the "superheroes" are constantly not actually doing anything heroic because of red tape or other legal bullshit, even though the opening chapter/entire reason deku was handed the best superpower ever is because he tried to save someone without thinking about the consequences
they won't help people if it's against the established laws, they're taking unpaid internships and otherwise studying in an academy, they expect to be paid. my hero isn't a show about western style comic book superheroes, it's just a show about fucking cops. deku is a fucking narc, he does more to stop the dickhead who loves tea and doesn't actually comit any serious crimes from being a nuisance at a school festival because he doesnt' want a little girl to get sad than he did to prevent that same girl from being abused and exploited by superpowered yakuza who want to take over the fucking country

Is this a samefag's thread or something?

What the fuck are you on about. Deku constantly breaks the law to help people.
>Chapter 1
>Stain
>Bakugou rescue
The only time he doesn't (Eri) is because there was already an operation to capture Overhaul.
>Unpaid internship

Needs more Bakugo.
