just finished it today, i was expecting a bad film, i was pleasantly surprised and now i want more. who else liked it ?
also i loved C.C's reaction at the end, the unofficial confession. and the very end, is that a scene meant to show there's going to be a new season/film ?
if C.C and L.L fuck, are the kids going to be immortal too ?
To me, the movie was pretty much all I want from CG, like a lot of epic Lelouch, a lot of C.C., cool mecha fights.
There was announce of 10 years of "Code Geass projects", but so far one year has passed and nothing new came out, unless we count in gacha game collabs.
C.C. most likely can't have children, as it was said that she regenerates defective body parts, and many things related to bearing children can be considered a "defection"; however, it is probably still mainly a question of definition.
Josiah Jackson
personally i thought the movie would be a trainwreck but i really liked it, i really want to see an adventure between C.C and Lelouch in a new anime now, maybe set in the future or something but not something like having to save C.C like Nunally's character was used in the series. that last scene where Lelouch comes back to C.C really caught me offguard, that means his old life is something behind him now and he chose his lover instead which is really sweet. and Tamaki finally got his bar.
The move is 3 years old and its been discussed to death.
Jacob Bailey
Feels like a shipper fanfiction. I legit pretend if doesnt exist of how bad it is.
Isaiah Bennett
Kallen loves Lelouche more. Also not a used good like C.C.
Aiden Reyes
>any animation that isn't still images being panned over is forced animation
Jose Flores
Unbased
Jacob Sanders
I'd say the main issue I had with the show is that it was clearly had the fanfiction kind of feeling to this. "Secret group of geass users that stir up trouble", "Lelouch is revived and saves the day since everyone else is incompetent", "everyone loves Lelouch and just accepts it, Ogi even offers to commit suicide as an apology", "Lelouch and CC fuck off to live an immortal life fucking each other and saving the world in the shadows".
Nathan Parker
Easily the worst piece of Code Geass work there is. I'd rather watch Akito the Exiled again than this trash.
Cameron Taylor
>but so far one year has passed and nothing new came out Manga adaptation just started last month
>R1 and R2, Lelouch is a Gary Stu >R3, Lelouch is a Gary Stu Woah
Wyatt Wilson
My biggest gripe was that it felt like a compilation movie to a season that doesn't exist, like how Lelouch meets all of the other major characters in the span of 15 minutes after his return.
William Williams
the movie is fanfic tier on highest level. how the fuck did shirley survive her death by rolo? did she get the geass mark on her body like C.C. or did they retcon the event out of existence?
the only thing i liked about it is seeing all characters' reaction to lelouch and lelouch's reaction to how all black knights been doing after his death.
Ayden Fisher
just the CLAMP style, hence why it's so popular.
yes it was.
doesn't mean you can't discuss anymore.
how is it a fan fiction ? the part where C.C. loves Lelouch was in the original anime, in R2 and near the end of R2.
C.C. cannot be used good, isn't possible physically. also Kallen is pretty dumb but nice tits anyway. C.C. still has the fattest ass
it's still a fun movie, just like the anime. when it was released i managed to avoid the spoilers on Zig Forums but now i realize lots of people were just trolling for the sake of trolling when they say it's a trainwreck.
Akito the Exiled shouldn't be called Code Geass at all, i didn't like it as much as this movie, Akito didn't feel like Code Geass, it should have been its own IP.
that's great but i'd prefer either S3 or a totally new IP with C.C. and Lelouch doing terrorism and stuff. the only thing i'd say, is that it would have been even better if it was 30 minutes longer, for parts like when Lelouch meets Cornelia again or Jeremiah but ofc i know it isn't possible in a cinema release. i won't deny the movie was made for fans though but that's not really an argument since you shouldn't watch it if you haven't watched R1/R2 and liked it.
>how the fuck did shirley survive her death by rolo?
it because it's a reboot, you should know they did 3 compilation films before this movie and they changed some scenes in them, for example, in the films, Shirley's father doesn't die because he wasn't at the lab, so Shirley doesn't need to know about Lelouch and doesn't search his identity, so of course, Rollo doesn't kill her because she knows nothing. Lelouch of the resurrection is the sequel of the 3 films. while they are almost identical, they do have small changes like this. but honestly they should have still killed Shirley.
Michael Cooper
>but honestly they should have still killed Shirley. She was completely irrelevant in Resurrection, so there was no value in keeping her alive other than to please hardcore Shirleyfags.
Jackson Perez
i agree, i don't know how's the Code Geass fandom in Japan but i don't think there's that much Shirley fans other there, i really question that choice of keeping her alive because as you said, she's quite useless and would only add drama because she used to love him. in the movie end credits, there's a single drawing where you see her visibly moved to tears while holding her phone, so i guess Lelouch said goodbye but it truly wasn't necessary.
Ian Bailey
I disliked it because the picture drama that takes place after the movie tanked any hopes I had of Suzaku and Nunnally fucking.
Jordan Nguyen
i like shirley because of the events that happened in the series especially her death. i cried when she died (fuck you it was sad moment) but if they can just retcon it with recap movies, then i want my moment back, fuck you very much.
Sebastian Taylor
i thought the recap movies were just recapping the series. how should i have known it would be consider the new canon and the series is not?
Robert Wood
>how should i have known it would be consider the new canon and the series is not? Because they literally announced it when the last movie aired.
My suspicion is because they didn't want this terrible movie tacked on to the TV series.
Blake Baker
they mostly recap the series but they did say it would have added scenes in it too. and i don't really know which one is canon, most say R1 and R2 are the real canon and i kinda agree with that.
personally i think Rollo's death was sadder but i cried a bit at Shirley's unfair death too.
I am now assuming that every thread starting with OP's pic is bait
Elijah Lewis
why is that ? i thought that scene was pretty good, it's the culmination of the relationship betwen C.C and Lelouch.
Nicholas Lee
No. Shipfags keep starting threads about it but have nothing to discuss because OP's pic is the only part they liked.
The rest of us would rather forget that shit exists altogether.
Camden Baker
>but honestly they should have still killed Shirley. Haha, fuck you.
Adrian Foster
it was more dramatic this way, it fits Code Geass well.
Carter Lopez
All shipfags cared about is whether or not Lelouch and C.C. ended up together. They certainly didn't actually care about their characters, that has become clear.
