Also, nice catch, last week's user.
Feels like this show is probably much better watched all at once unless you're up to feeling like a brainlet (or have good memory).
full ED fucking when
it was delayed
Such well made glass eye. I wonder what's the story behind it?
I know, right? That would warrant another short story in itself, but she probably just fell as a kid or something. I also knew they'd bring up Rampo's Hitodenashi no Koi as soon as the dolls showed up.
Thanks, though I'm a bit disappointed it isn't the full song, just a repeat of the first verse.
Nice to see a cover of this song that isn't a derivative of the Ikiru version (even though the music video clearly references it)
This song reminds me of Rolling Girls. Their songs weren't so old, but still.
Are there any more examples of idols/anime singers covering "real" songs? The only thing I can think of is Tsubasa wo Kudasai in Evangelion and Nichijou
Not as insert songs, but off the top of my head PenguinDrum OPs and EDs were covers of some 80s japanese rock band. SoreMachi OP was also a cover. Probably much more.
So every named woman in this show either dead, whore or criminal?
Today's useless trivia
>the manager was voiced by the real Hagiwara's grandson
>Kindaichi inspired the fictional detective Kindaichi Kousuke's name
>the manager was voiced by the real Hagiwara's grandson
That's why he sounds so weird
Well, there's also the lady at Ishikawa's house.
I love the art style of this show so much. Also, nice to see the glass eye predictions come into play.
Can't say I expected this.
I wonder how fans of the actual authors and poets in the show view this show and the original novel.
Obviously they aren't really the same demographic, but is it seen as a charming love letter for a new generation, or a degenerate perversion of modern Japanese literature.
I think most of them are usually ok with it as long as it promotes their favourite authors. Kitsutsuki is ridiculously grounded compared to other literature-inspired stuff I've seen/read.
I wonder how much of the homoerotic subtext is based on reality.
>ridiculously grounded
Contrast and compare: "Bungo Stray Dogs".
I don't find anything particularly homo in the show itself desu and it actually has much less than in reality, either because it doesn't focus on said characters (Edogawa, Akutagawa) or because it happens too early (Hagiwara).
I meant mainly between the two main characters
>the owner was whoring out his doll
Weird.
He himself probably didn't have an appreciation for doll joints.
How do you have sex with a doll like that?
