Having critical things to say isn't mean and doesn't mean I don't like it. And even if I don't like it that doesn't mean I can't enjoy discussing it.

Maybe I'm just deluded but I see a lot of times people will discount any arguments trying to defend a show as being from brainless fanboys even if the arguments are sensible. Someone feels the need to relentlessly shit on something and anyone that dares defend a show they like in any way are labeled as fans that can't stand any sort of criticism.

I think complaints stem more from repeated, nonsensical complaining than genuine criticism. For example:

Explain why

The problem is that you often get the same responses even if you offer genuine criticism.
The other problem is that trolls should be ignored rather than fed.
Focusing on things you love will make you happier than focusing on things you hate.

And if you offer criticism like “why wasn’t this foreshadowed” after someone already showed the panel where it was foreshadowed, you may be mistaken for a shitposter.
