Mirio would have been a better MC than Deku
My Hero Academia
Too OP
If Mirio was MC, they wouldn't have had to give him 7 quirks to make up for how uninteresting he is.
>Somebody catch me!!!
if it were, all the effort he made to perfect his quirk would be worth shit because he would receive the OFA ruining the supposed message of overcoming
Literally my mom's tintin
But user he was the top choice to receieve OfA from All Might
This is a really original idea. I've never heard it before. Wow what a unique thread that hasn't had every side argued from every angle already. Thank you OP for your intelligence and creativity. Truly a shining beacon in dark times.
because it was nighteye's suggestion, and when all might chose deku nighteye did what he could to make mirio the best just because he was bothered by all might's decision
Why is it that anything and everything Mirio-related causes you guys to be anguished so greatly?
Do you guys just willingly let Mirio live rent free in your minds? Not that I have a problem with that, hes a hunk and made in God's image, so enjoy him living Rent Free
You do realize Hori would still be the one writing the story, right? People like to pretend that other MCs would be more interesting but it’s pretty obvious Hori would make the same mistakes regardless. Mirio as MC for instance would be the most redundant piece of generic shit, and if you think otherwise you’re unironically delusional. He brings exactly nothing intriguing to the story other than to exist as foil to Deku. He’s there to be the perfect candidate, an ideal for one to strive for, but if you know anything about story narratives you’d know that those characters don’t function as actual main characters. Deku at least feels more realistic while mirio remains idealistic.
Deku's growth is supposed to be something like Mirio
The thought of MirioCHAD brings fear into the heads of Dekufags
I believe that he would make an excellent protagonist, but no better than Midoriya.
We are saturated with protagonists who start out confident.
Mirio was always encouraged to become the best, which eventually allowed him to be popular and make friends.
We would see another case of Naruto, OP, Bleach, Dragon Ball ...
Midoriya being a protagonist breaks this "rule" that all protagonists are born with luck.
Midoriya was lucky, but before that he was very unlucky.
Personally I'm a Knuckleduster guy. I just don't understand the need to have the same discussion every other days for years.
See the thing is Mirio grows, Deku doesn't.
Mirio was born with a quirk that no one thought was possible to master and he mastered it. He turned a useless quirk into one of thr most powerful known, similar to All Might and OfA.
During the fight with Overhaul, he sacrificed his quirk to save a Loli and he STILL kicked the villains asses even without Permeation. Not to mention the fact that had it been Deku in the situation he would've most certainly died without Aizawa's erasure quirk to save him by the bell. + He needed the Loli's help LOL
Deku was born quirk less and is a cry baby, Bakugo-loving, pants-pissing hopeless loser who got gifted the strongest quirk in the world because of pity. He has no character, his entire personality revolves around 3 things: being a bitch, lusting over bakugo and being a jobber
Deku only trained when he promised power, had AM not shown up he probably would've trained and still failed.
take your meds patreak
Mirio is my dream boy, I've masturbated to him so many times it over the last 3 years it is insane
good bait
How things are:
>Mirio's father encouraged him even with the bad quirk he had
>Mirio became confident and popular
>Midoriya's mother discouraged him for not having quirk
>Midoriya became insecure and alone
And why are you still blaming Midoriya?
top or bottom row?
This is all the fault of Single Mother's
>encouraged him
He literally told him he could die, what the fuck
anyone with a quirk could die, but he got support after all
Nah, Mirio's dad >Warned< him of what could go wrong if he messes up the quirk and that it takes hard work. He didn't discourage him because right after he asked Mirio is he still wanted to be a hero and when he said yes his dad taught him everything about Permeation and helped him train up that quirk. His dad was his inspiration as seen by the flashbacks Mirio had of him during the Overhaul battle when Overhaul told him his years work of training up Permeation went to waste.
No, he specifically told him his quirk was way too hard to master and that is why he had given up himself. He didn't encourage him, but he was supportive regardless.
It really was all her fault. If she said he could have becomed a hero, then he would have at least tried
Agreed.
And then he took Mirio to a roadwork
No doubt.
Too ugly
Anime only? That scene wasn't in the manga.
Mirio was inspired by the hero who saved him from drowning, then his dad told him about their quirks but he never trained him. There's a scene of them reading about heroes together but that's it, and that is why he was so shit with permeation until he met nighteye.
That being said,
Manga>anime
*mirio turned his godtier quirk useful after getting trained by nighteye
Let's not also forget about the move to the UA dorms. Every single family despite all the hardships and incidences that happened over at UA still allowed their children to go. Even Bakugo's parents. The ONLY exception to this was Inko who outright refused to let Midoriya continue going to UA and wanted him to give up on being a hero. It took serious convincing on All Might's part to convince her that she should let him continue attendiny UA.
I hope you're talking about Mina.
Mirio was a jobber until he met Nighteye you retard. In that case he mirrors midoriya.
>Mirio would have been a better MC than Deku
and this is why you dont have your own massively successful manga
Didn't his dad say he wanted to be a hero, but their quirk was too dangerous so he didn't go through with it?
Mirio grows, deku doesnt
The main point still stands unfaltered
only last year apparently
Toga vengeance when?!
Mirio is also two years older than Deku. Considering how much Deku has grown in only a year, you can be sure that he’ll develop further by the time he hits third year
Exactly, thing that I've said here
that is not encouraging mirio at all and he couldn't have taught him shit about permeation because he himself was bad with it. There's an scene where Mirio is next to Tamaki and he falls trough.
Mirio was shit until he met nighteye, who unleashed his potential. Not his dad.
