Berserk's shaky release schedule

>berserk use to release twice a month during the best arcs in the series (golden age and lost children)
>eventually slowed down to releasing once a month, but would sometimes release twice a month sporadically
>then, in mid 2007 (right when the boat arc began) the release schedule becomes incredibly sporadic, often skipping some months entirely, but would still occasionally release twice a month
>in 2008 the long, frequent hiatuses begin
>these persist and progressively get longer and longer over time
>fast forward to now
>Berserk barely releases thrice a year
>art quality has (arguably) dropped

god please make it stop

The fact that people actually made this chart shows how fucked Berserk's release schedule is

This is starting to resemble made in abyss

hardly even the same. Miura is just old as fuck and he's been drawing the same series for over 20 years. Tsukushi god rich of the success of the series and now he just takes his time vacationing around the world, fucking underage taiwanese prostitutes and not giving a fuck about the series that made him all his money.

damn
>Tsukushi god rich of the success
does manga really pay that well

Yeah it's almost as if Miura tried to make a story that was more epic than he was capable of doing, burned himself out and hasn't really had the creative drive to finish the series and only puts out a chapter every so often to appease people. His heart obviously isn't in it anymore and he should probably just take the time to just skip to the finale and finish it.

is there a place the manga gets bad?

Did we ever leave the boat bros?

>tfw both a berserk and hxh fan
fuck my life at least kingdom is still going strong

not the manga, but all the merchandise and anime/movies earns him a huge cut. More than enough to travel and do what he wants.

Not to mention when a chapter is released it's just pure fanservice...

you can take Guts out of the boat but you can't take the Idolmaster out of Moira or something

It's obvious he's done with the series but doesn't have the guts (heh) to just end it already. There's absolutely no life at all in that drawing. It's like he'd rather be doing a CGDCT series in a fantasy setting.

is there a point reading past 200?

Idolmaster >>> Love Live & other idolshit

When was the last time Miura actually, legitimately mentioned Idolmaster?

Yes, everything up to the World tree being formed is still fairly good.

Just once but that's all it took for people to run with it and made it into a meme.

>150 chapters later casca's still not talking
wtf

The digital art is really... ugh. I mean, the characters look fine but the whole picture is really missing something. Also, there's too many characters now that stand around and do nothing.

HxH at least gets at least 10 chapters a year most of the time. And succession war has been pretty great so far. I know more or less what has happened in the past 50 chapters.
Meanwhile Berserk gets like 2, maybe 3 if you're lucky updates a year and hardly any of them matter. The only thing I remember from the past 50 chapters is unironically moonlight boy being griffith. And griffith politics I guess as well as the fairy garbage.

>Also, there's too many characters now that stand around and do nothing.
I agree. Serpico is the worst offender as he was introduced as a strategic nimble fighter in contrast to Guts's much rougher style and hasn't shined since the Vandimion arc.
But a lot of issues are due to the pacing, Farnese is shaping up to be a very important character so he has to he spend time developing her but that leads to others being thrown under the bus and remaining stagnant.

Fair point on the characters but I'm going to leave the art change till things get back to not fucking fairy island. I'm hoping the not so subtle art change wanders back towards more old style stuff as shit gets more fucked again in the story. But he'll probably be dead 10 years before that.
