Boku no hero academia

Why is the pace so awful?

When you have no idea where to go with the story, you gotta stall for time.

200 chapters and still at 5% punching quirk, yeah I don't know why.

Because Deku is a terrible protagonist.

Because everything else is just as awful

Once they graduate from Hero Academia, the school's storyline cannot be developed.

Deku is at 20% now, iirc

Does that even matter anymore, he still has 700 hundred quirks to master on top of Allmights ''''quirk''''.

The current arc is awkward as fuck.
If there will be a timeskip, the only point people bring up is Deku to master abilities off-screen. But that way the Academia aspect will be pretty much dead. Not to mention new fodder villains no one will care about since the already established ones are also shit as hell.
If this is the final battle, then there is no hype whatsoever. If this is Marineford, the criticism still stands.

Making the setting a modern day high school was a big mistake.

Kinda funny that Boku no Hero Academia is about anything but the titular Hero Academy. More like "No Hero Academia". At this point they could close the school and it would have no impact on the story. Most of the big decisions are made by the adult cast anyway and the hero kids are just swept along.

Can't believe they haven't even completed their first year of high school. And they still have to go to university and become official heroes. We're looking at 700+ chapter manga here

What about the 2nd years and the rest of 3rd years, they're more invisible than invisigirl

No you don't understand. If you're not in the same class as the MC you wont ever see screen time.

Or in the case of Hero Academia, you won't even see screen time when you're the mc.

>complain when they do school stuff
>complain when they do hero stuff
>complain when they focus on Deku
>complain when they don't focus on Deku
Just can't win.

Because hori fails in doing good things in every situation

It's more like the namesake of the manga "Academia" is the least appealing part of this manga. Pro-hero and MVA are considered some of the best arcs in this manga and they have little to nothing to do with the actual Academia part. Training arcs are just so samey and not interesting and Deku is just not a good protagonist in many ways and other students are not that interesting either. The best characters from this manga are also either villains or Pro-heroes which is not good when you main focus SHOULD be on the students.

And yet the same people keep reading.

>he think UA is the titular hero academia
I'm from the future. All the hero schools get shut down and hero society dissolved when a series of scandals comeing to light turns public opinion against them. Deku opens his own illegal underground school for the people who decide they care more about stopping the supervillains than becoming rich and famous

>complain when they do school stuff
It's fine for the most part, nothing amazing but it could be better if they focused more on other classes and rival schools
>complain when they do hero stuff
No stakes at all makes it boring
>complain when they focus on Deku
Trash character and a waste of a protagonist, should've been Mirio
>complain when they don't focus on Deku
All of the other characters aside from Todoroki and Twice suck.
>Just can't win.
And never will.

meant for

>I'm from the future
You are form "Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals"

>the same people keep reading
This stopped being true since February 4, 2019

If you need stakes to not be bored that's on you

>should've been Mirio
But he's a mary sue

Strangely specific date

For the right reasons.

Problem is he diverged the story core away from the school stuff, making the school stuff feel like a diversion from "the real meat". You could have written a perfectly fine superhero story about aspiring heroes besting the wondrous and strange proving ground that is the hero academia, discovering themselves and what they want to become. I'm not saying that the current story can't or shouldn't be done, but the way Hori developed things, the school stuff seems more like a hindrance to the story progress. Same as the school kids aren't at the center of things. Currently, it's a regular superhero story with the adults making all the reasoning, researching and decision making. The kids are just there for the ride. "Hey, become stronger and take part in this coordinated mission as minor backup". If Deku didn't have OfA, you could even drop him from the current story.

Release threads say otherwise.

Well, threads =/= actual facts

The threads are imaginary?

>If Deku didn't have OfA, you could even drop him from the current story
Exactly, same can be said for bakugo. Todoroki and Uraraka could have been interesting and Todoroki it tied with the plot because of endavor
