So are there really people out there that genuinely hate Hunter x Hunter?
Or is it mainly just fanbase wars that cause people's need to try and dismantle Hxh's nen and writing style?
Because honestly if you're truly giving the series a fair chance, I don't see how you cannot find Togashi's writing style, character development, theme and genre exploration, and dissection of believable high IQ characters anything but charming and interesting.
Am I missing something here Hunterchads and Hunterhaters? Whats not to love about the series? I don't get the hate?

I cant see why those 4 that i listed off the top of my head could ever be enough to inspire a seething rage against the series. Especially when they can be pretty well explained and don't threaten the integrity of the narrative at all imo. Even more so if you're comparing them to the things other series in the genre get away with.
I don't hate it, but there are some genuinely autistic "hunterchads" on here who don't even understand the series and are constantly embarrassing themselves on here trying to sound smart liking it.
When I read hxh now I appreciate it a lot, far more than the so called hunterchads who proclaim their undying worship of it, but can't even understand what makes it good, let alone properly look at it critically because they've attached it to their identity. I can't help but feel it was one giant missed opportunity of a series for a number of reasons.

There's like four dozen characters in the Succession War arc, and pretty much all of them have some sort of detailed thoughtful rationale or strategy behind their actions. Even the insane ones have secrets and strategies.

Nothing interests me in the first few volumes and some of the cliches bugged me so I dropped it early. I'm sure it's good if you can get into it, first few volumes of almost everything are the weak point.

Generally I was ok or kinda indifferent toward the series but after finding out how literally autistic the fanbase was I started hating it, not because it my feelings were hurt but because I realized that a series that attracts such a retarded following can't be good in any possible way.

i love it from the start unitil the CA's ending. I felt the election arc overwhelming and the succession war a complete trainwreck. Hoping Togashi will do better Anyway, I think that it's one of the best action shonen ever created
