Anyone else with this problem?

>watch backlog (fuck seasonal)
>4-6/10, most of the times dropped
>go rewatch 8-10/10 to feel better
>drops like 3 points on average

What do, Zig Forums?

>he rewatches shit he already seen
Only excusable when it's been a long time

stop watching anime faggot

Watch good shows?

At least 1-2 years

Same shit with manga.
*N's are gay

>over 500 completed
>average 6/10 score

>over 500 completed
>average 6/10 score
I'm at 6.5/10 average with 400 completed. At this point I only enjoy 1 or 2 shows a year, rest are dropped.

More or less the same.
Only ever find something >= 8/10 once a season (if even).
That means something like 2-3%.

>over 500 completed
Watch more anime. Or just read manga.

>over 500 completed
>average 6/10 score
I'm in the same boat but I'm not nearly as burnt out as you are. Don't feel obligated to finish things you don't like and try your best to watch things you think you will like.

Surely with watching 500 animu you actually know what your tastes are by now? You aren't just watching shit for the sake of it are you?

Maybe stop being autistic about rating shows

stop rating shit with numbers, just say if you enjoyed it or not.

I’m 5.9/10 average with over 800 anime. Trust me, as you watch more you find more shit

>backlog
What a faggot. Do you have spreadsheets? I bet you use MAL too, fucking newfag

>using an imageboard
if you don't have the mental power to simulate all the social interaction you need in your head then you should lurk more

>moar animu
Been getting more into pre-2000's stuff but it still has a lot of the same problems and overall shittier characters than more recent stuff.
>mango
Situation is more or less the same. Only big difference is it's a bit inconvenient to read on PC so I usually only read when commuting (should really get and e-reader)

It's a 6/10 average but a lot of it is due to giving >= 8/10 scores when I was just getting into anime, so rn it's more like a 5.5-5/10 average.
Not to mention most anime I start watching (sometimes even rw) I end up dropping at ep3.
The ones I don't drop are usually passable but not very interesting either.
desu I think it's just a result of getting older.

Are you young or just stupid? Of course most of what you watch at first is going to be good because you haven't developed a taste yet so will probably like what is popular. Of course when you get to around 500 shows the shit you like will be hard to find because most shit does not cater specifically to your specific taste you have cultivated over the years. That is true for every single medium, not just anime

I don't rate anime.

Attached: file.png (206x61, 2.03K)

I’ve probably watched close to 700-800 and there are only 5 that I genuinely enjoy. Forget ratings, I can’t even finish the other 99.99% of shows because they don’t sit well with me

>using Zig Forums is comparable to using MAL or being autistic enough to use spreadsheets to document watching anime

What do you think scores exist for?

>t. only watches seasonal garbage

Pic related is my average score over time. Do you anons get similar results?

Thank you for your wisdom user. What are your top 5?

you get your opinions and sexual preference as
hand-me-downs, too?

don't force yourself to watch shit you don't like. If the show looks like it's going to be less than a 8/10 don't even bother.
Clear your backlog, one episode at a time.
Once you are done, look at the stuff that is critically acclaimed and give it a second chance. Watch other shows made by the people who worked on your favourites.

>as you watch more you find more shit
That much is obvious though. There's way more shit anime than there is even average anime. Let alone good or great anime.

>Do you anons get similar results
No. You're just jaded. I, , have fun watching anime very single day. Stop dropping shit and focus on completing them.

>using Zig Forums is comparable to being autistic
yes
And making a list of interesting things that you want to check out is a lot less autistic than memorising it, user

Tatami Galaxy is good but only if you understand Japanese really well, otherwise it’s shit

Ping pong I enjoy, probably because it’s more relatable to me

I can’t even remember the other 3.

Currently I’m reading SnK and it’s passable, the anime I can’t sit through though.

Tatami Galaxy is good even if you don't understand Japanese

Just read VNs instead. They are superior.

Hope you watched something nice today user.

then stop living faggot

Why yes I did indeed.

Attached: file.png (1140x159, 14.17K)

I’ve never watched it without understanding everything but my friend said reading all the subs was ass so I just figured it wasn’t a good time
But in general any book by 森見登美彦 that gets animated is probably gonna be good

>doesn't know what autism really is
like I said, your (and OP if you're not OP's) opinions and values are all hand-me-downs, there's not an original thought in your head, and like anyone else who actually values the opinions of trash on this site, are extremely unintelligent people who cannot formulate their own values.

Having a need to catalogue your viewing habits and having a backlog are textbook autism, by the way, and you should leave that shit back at MAL or Reddit where you came from but thanks for playing.

my God you are cringe

> If the show looks like it's going to be less than a 8/10 don't even bother
Actually seems like solid advice but I'm pretty sure I'd get drop ratios upwards of 50% like this.
Most of the times an anime seems promising at the start (else I drop it unless there's a really good reason) but quickly goes to shit once the gimmick get boring or when the author clearly can't follow up.
Half the times I stick with it to see if it gets better (it doesn't) and the other half I drop.
8/10's and higher with solid quality are very rare to come by.

>Once you are done, look at the stuff that is critically acclaimed and give it a second chance
I assume you mean give drops another chance? If so, not a great idea. Out of the 100-something rw's I've done never have I raised a score (sadly).

>Watch other shows made by the people who worked on your favourites
Been doing this for a while, good results. Shame is I have to reassess if a show really was good by rewatching and more often than not it isn't.

Someone’s cranky

>keeping a list of things you want to watch necessarily means that all your opinions are derived from other people
your thought-process, if there is any, must be fascinating
