One episode of something called the sutra story. An old buddhist tale about how buddha's clan was slaughtered.
I remember this show! I used to be pretty into it when I was kid.
Some big super markets tried to sell some chinese knockoffs of those cars which were pretty big and bulky but you couldn't disassemble them and swap parts like they did in the show.
My dad was pretty big into collecting miniature cars and frequently went into a hobby shop, so when he took me there I always bugged the owner if he knew of the legit model of those cars. He was pretty hesitant to order them, but eventually he did and it was great for everyone.
I loved that you could actually take them apart and change pieces, and he apparently made some good bank with those since he even thanked me for bothering him about it because of how well they sold
I'd post a pic of them, but they're way down in the basement and I can't be bothered to go there right now.
Lain
if I tell you, then you will watch it and it will no longer be obscure so fuck you.
i wont say it, only I will watch it.
myroid moe can change OVA
I used to have a bunch of them as well when I was a kid and we even had a local store that had a small two-lane track where kids would race their 4WD cars. I also used to have a magazine that covered the craze back then which had pictures of racing competitions on long, multi-lane tracks and wished that I could go to one in person. Sadly, I grew out of it and donated my collection to family friends. I'd get one these days if I could find a local track where I can race them but I don't think there are any nearby.
As for OP, I used to watch a show called Hatsumei Boy Kanipan, which was a show about a boy and his robot rabbit making inventions to try to be the best inventor in the world. There was also a time-skip sequel series where the MC was older but I never watched the entire series to completion. I didn't even know what the title was until a couple of years ago and kinda wish I can find the episodes so I can actually finish the series.
You need to either be both a spic or a boomer or really be into early Heisei mecha anime. I'm fairly confident that few have watched this.
We still have a 4wd community here in my city. They held tournament sometimes.
i'm sure no one know this
This fucking show single-handedly created Tamiya race car mod boom in my country.
> Let's&Go
>obscure
>when pic related was aired only in Italy beside Japan
Italy seems like a cool place for anime in 90's. I only knew Captain Tsubasa was huge because muh calcio.
we got a lot of football anime beside Tsubasa, a few of them extremely obsucre even to Japan
Is this count?
Pic related, it seems many people havent seen this
Kiba?
Yes
i downloaded it but never saw it
Is this one of them? I remember watching a bit of this too.
Why would no one know Gu Gu Ganmo?
>Only Italy
That was aired in Hong Kong as well, in fact a lot of "shill anime" aired there with various amounts of shilling success
Holy shit, now I remember reading this shonen shit about early days of eSport as well.
Wait do mean a two episode OVA based on an obscure NES game no one played isn't more popular?
Those "obscured" anime are all over East Asian countries in 90's. Bigger TV networks got more popular shows like Dragonball or Saint Seiya but others wanted kids product ad money too.
This is like poor man's Chibi Maruko-chan during those days.
How is this obscure in any way? 4wd is some mainstream shit.
I know there are a few anons who watched it, and it was dubbed back in the day. Still, I'll continue to shill for the series. The comedic episodes and the sequel movie are top tier 90s fun.
Akihaba Dennou Gumi
i dont think this one is well known
This was re-run on AXN for about thousand times.
