>Lupin fails so hard studio is forced to start adapting gookshit
Nice going.

and just when I thought the virgin/chad meme couldn't get more lazy.

You forgot to add cucked by Zenigata

This but unironically

umad bitch?

Spike was supposed to be a 90s darker and edgier "deconstruction" of Lupin. Back then, darker cynical reinterpretations were in vogue

fine bait, but i have a few complaints
>one friend who is fat
im not sure who the fuck youre talking about
>every moment is comic relief
is this supposed to be a good thing?

how do I get into Lupin? Where to start?

you know damn well who I'm talking about.

Fuck off cancer

>INB4 Castle of Cagliostro
It's a good movie, but not a good introduction to Lupin III.
My personal favorite would be Bank of Liberty or Return the Treasure.
They're both really fun movies.

Unironically this except with Cobra instead of Lupin

Based.

BASED

Based

I see we're ignoring The Woman Called Fujiko Mine

Upvo, I mean based

whoever made this doesn't have a clue about lupin

Jet? Fat?

season 1 episode 1
fucking idiot how is that even a question?

But I like both.

I like both but it's pathetic that some of the Bebop side is made up. Ed isn't genderbent, Jet isn't fat. Should have went with
>He fucking dies
>Doesn't get with best girl

yea you trolled everyone epik style based chad king! xD

Go on...

Why were dark and edgy deconstructions so popular in the 90s? I know that’s when comics had that phase, too.

not him but one of the unique aspects of bebop is the fact that it follows its characters after they lived their lives and their lives have gone to shit.
much like the big events that shook up space are a thing of the past and space is mostly inhabited by people who just struggle to find their place in the universe, so the main cast has already had their lives changed and are dealing with the aftermath, sole exception being Ed, who is young and appropriately gets a more hopeful ending, contrary to the others who are stuck with their regrets
lupin is a character that lives a new adventure every other day. spike has already lived his adventure, and all he has to show for that are ghosts from the past who prevent him from moving on, and ultimately end up costing him his life

first season lupin where he actually killed people was the peak of the series imo

care to explain why everyone hates this guy so much?

Attached: 3Raq.gif (480x360, 3.32M)

the 90s were a weird period. cold war was over, world peace was achieved, and yet everyone realized that that didn't really change anything, nobody was really happier, and the world didn't suddenly begin to make sense
I think the world was collectively going through an existential phase, having left behind all hope and optimism for the future

possibly, but it didn't have anything to do with the fact that he killed people
he is fun and charming, but at the end of the day he was still your run of the mill moralfag "if you kill your enemy they win" shonen protagonist. nothing inherently wrong with that unless you want to discuss morality, but they are a dime a dozen and pretty boring and samey

Is all of Lupin episodic? Can't stand episodic stuff.

he deserves to be raped

>Decunstruction
Oh shut the fuck up

part iv and v have ongoing narratives but you should stay clear of it regardless. it's too good for you

Only certain events are referenced in some Parts. It's mostly episodic.
