Yeah, it's that one. Not sure if it was the translation that was off, or it's just a big clusterfuck with no purpose whatsoever.

What I dropped is One Piece. I absolutely don't understand why do people like it, the artstyle literally nauseating. It's disgusting to look at.
What I finished is B.Ichi, the first manga of the author of Soul Eater. That just too amateur, even I could draw like this.

Good Ending by sasuga kei

Spirit of Wonder. It's a collection of semi-related sci-fi/fantasy one shots published in Afternoon. The art isn't particularly good (I've noticed this with a lot of one shot collections) and is sometimes hard to make out what's happening. And the largest part of the manga is a couple stories with one of those generic Chinese woman caricatures (think Shampoo from Ranma but much worse) named Ms. China. This part of the manga actually somehow managed to get an OVA in the 90s. If the other stories in the manga were completely fantastic then the Ms. China segments wouldn't completely destroy my opinion of it but even the best stories are pretty mediocre and the Ms. China segments are some of the most obnoxious manga I've ever read. The cover looked cool so I was hoping it was good but it's complete garbage.

The MC is a giant unlikable edgelord asshole who everyone fawns over. The setting is edgy. Everything about the series is edgy. The fans are edgy too as they're basically battle shounenfags who like that they get some gore and titties which is basically all the series is: battle shounen with extra chuuni because it can get away with more in a seienen magazine. The art is supposed to be good but just feels really weird, off and traced.

The only halfway interesting thing in the series is the octopus dude since there's at least a clumsy attempt at a real story with him (female) compared to the rest of the series.

It's literally a magical girl series dressed up as superhero battle shonen and is based.

SWOT, I remember liking the one shot and then it got serialized and was complete garbage.

I'll always wonder what went through the author's head. Was he just pissed that his manga got canceled and had a tantrum?

I feel like this was a pretty good guilty pleasure read though. Full of plot holes and inconsistencies, but the theme was interesting and it's always nice seeing yandere girls in bondage and cosplay.
