I couldn't find a thread, so I'm guessing this show wasn't too popular here, but what did you think of BNA?
I liked the protagonists and the first half was pretty good at showing systematic oppression and how people function in and around it. The second half went a bit bonkers, but that's to be expected.
They didn't really attempt to hide the twists so maybe weekly threads wouldn't have been as good as they usually are, but it didn't feel like a Trigger show without them.

Honestly it starts out as a pretty good representation of racism and all those other isms, but gets more Trigger as it goes on. It's fun, but there's not much in it that'll take you by surprise. It mainly seems like a vehicle for the creator make a show about animal people. So, it's good in that regard.

They're have been several threads and the come consensus is that it need more episodes. Show was disappointing, but still alright. Shirou was a good character. Michiru is cute but forgettable. Nazuna is a cunt. I want a second season though.

It was kinda shit overall desu. Looked great, Michiru was cute but just a copypaste "retard with a heart of gold" Trigger protag, in fact most of the characters were just Trigger archetypes with nothing new down to the twist reveal superbeing villain, world was interesting but everything was explored half-assedly (coolest things like the albatross dude and his idea of beastman nature was just kinda wasted), and it all degenerated into typical Trigger action spectacle with little brains by the end. Imaishi probably does it because he doesn't know anything else, but I feel Yoshinari should know better and not get dragged down to Imaishi's level. It's sad.

I don't think Michiru is really the same as others Trigger MC. And I certainly wouldn't call her retarded, she's just naive, sometimes to a fault. Nor would I say that any character felt already done beyond Alan, who probably sufferered the most for the low episodes count.

I don't understand your thought pattern here. Yoshinari never really demonstrated any particular knack for storytelling nor any especially brilliant idea. He's certainly not anywhere close to Imaishi on that front, who ends his anime in a certain way because he's capable of making it emotionally satisfying and thematically coherent. Yoshinari seems to try to imitate it, without pulling it off with the same grace.
