What's a good place to discuss anime? Certainly not Zig Forums.
An irl anime club.

You mean this board. And yes, that's why I am asking. I am kinda sick of it.
Here's series only, need to make on for movies too.
Finally stopped being a lazy fuck and updated my 3x3, it has the same pattern tho, since i liked it so much.

really enjoying getting more shit to read or watch from these 3x3 threads
shit my mushishi placement is in the exact same place
What's the 2?
I wouldn't put any of them in my top 10, but all of those are worth watching.
There's a serene quality to many of your image choices that has an interesting juxtaposition with the action-packed content of the largely shounen anime represented. Well done!
I always find your experiment interesting. In the time you've spent producing these, have you noticed any noteworthy trends?
Always a fan of wider 3x3s, but the borders of the panels seem a little off in this one. You have a nice selection of classic ensemble casts here, covering a wide tonal range as well.
A tall 3x3 is also neat to see. The unified art style is a lovely touch, but I think it leaves the Kino pic feeling out of place. Maybe one of the LN covers has a more suitable image?
Excellent as always, user. The new color scheme is also visually pleasing, and you've picked another selection of striking images for it.
The colors here feel very summery and romantic, which fits the content. You could work on image quality a little, though.
The person who drew this was pretty good at comedic faces. A pity they had such an unhappy perspective.
A well-curated selection of images, with a good eye for their cropping as well. I think you could try a parallel between your Nausicaa and Mushishi panels, if you were inclined to go for a slightly more complex composition.
Good tastes because of Rei.
and because I watched everything on your pic except Gurren Lagann and it's all kino.
I'm a Madokafag but it was still almost impossible to figure out your top.
Is the bottom right NHK or zetsubou sensei?
NHK
Fuck it, I know I have Basic taste but this is the truth
>the borders of the panels seem a little off in this one.
How should I fix this? This is my first 3x3 and I've been using it for a while now, so it'd be nice to change it up
Probably, but i was the only screen in Rebellion that worked in the color scheme that i was going for. There was also this one but i think is kinda overused.
Can someone please explain the rating system for these? Why are some anons like 3/4 and others are 2/5 and shit?
What you wanna talk about?
Based user of aesthetics

Thanks, I'll go for that next thread
Have you tried watching something that is not shonen? It is always good to broaden your horizon
me too, the give away for me was the background
If you look closely at the places where panels connect in, say, , you'll notice that there's no border; on the other hand, has a very distinct border.
Your 3x3 has an extremely thin border on the horizontal borders, and no border on the vertical. For starters, I suggest having one consistent border size for the entire chart. And second, when a border is extremely thin, it often will just look like an alignment error, and you'd be better off with a clearly intentional, thicker border, or with no border at all.
Further, there's a bit of extra black at the bottom of the EoE panel that doesn't seem intentional and has the same alignment-error effect, and in the Haruhi panel, the red glow on Kyon's legs seems possibly like an image issue as well.
Lastly, it's clear that some of these panels have been squashed/stretched. Look at the LotGH panel, and compare it to this image of the same art. Do you see how everyone is slightly taller/thinner than in the original art? Ideally, you want all your images to retain the aspect ratio of the original art they're sourced from. If you stretch or squash your images, they'll look significantly worse.
I hope this helps; you have a good start to your 3x3 here, and I'm confident it'll look great with some slight tweaks!

You mean in term of which anime get selected most often? It's exactly as you'd expect. Those which get posted most often get picked most often. From July to December, Evangelion was the most common pick from different grids. Lately Sailormoon has been selected more often, but only from the same three different grids that get posted regulary: Tarantulafag's, Italianon's, and that other one from a guy with no nickname. From different grids, HxH seems to be slightly overpresented at the moment. Someone should send Togashi and Takeuchi a trophy or something.
But overall, Zig Forums is much more diverse than people give it credit for.
