I remember capeshit shows like Teen Titans and Young Justice and they were nowhere near this bland and boring. Being a teen can be instense, hormones are going crazy, couples form and those left over feel envy, all sorts of personality issues surface, everyone is trying to climb the social hierarchy or cope with being a hopeless manlet and cringe. Here nothing happens, characters are completely void of any teenage intensity, they're not horny, they're not aggressive, depressed, they're not trying to fit in, rivals are borderline gay lovers. And on top of that we're watching them go to fucking school. They're hero kids, they should be encountering villains in every chapter!
>Araki turns the most boring superpower that are psychic powers into one of the best power systems >finds a way to make the powers both eye candy designs and make for exciting to read tactical battles >Horikoshi has all the superpowers he wants at his disposal and can't write or draw one good battle. Hori. A fucking. Shit.
>one of the most boring powers Psychic powers have always been an almost anything goes power. Second only to magic where literally anything goes. It's never been boring.
Wyatt Anderson
It has the capeshit aesthetic going for it, but is the most formulaic of SJ battle shonenshit at the end of the day. It's laughable to me that some have pitched this guy as the Eastern Peter Parker.
Angel Lewis
>muh telekinesis >muh psychic barriers >muh psychic duels represented by shitty FX while psyvhics look at one another
Hudson Nguyen
>most formulaic of SJ battle shonenshit at the end of the day I fucking wish.
Joseph Nguyen
It's more a shortcoming of the writer in question than the powers user, there's a thousand of manners to use psychic powers that aren't boring.
Blake Long
when will newfags learn that capeshit is talking exclusively about the comic movies
Well it's a shortcoming of many writers if not all. Psychic powers are most often hax but also not very interesting visually or good for writing tense battles.
Angel Martinez
This.
Ethan Gomez
Capeshit isn't talking about modern day comics user... But yeah there's always been vareity in the super hero genre, what matters is what the majority is.
Kayden Evans
It's funny how a Spider-Man manga did MHA's story better.
Well yeah Peter isn't a whiny cuck who still hasn't confronted his bully about what a dickbag he is/was.
Josiah Jenkins
The story in this one is that some normal non-powered student finds Spidey's suit and has to be a hero when Peter is gone. He never gets powered up and never begs for it.
Thats great but you might get banned for posting Zig Forums stuff
Matthew Cook
Oh that's pretty neat. I can see why that would draw comparison with MHA then. Honestly I can't pick on MHA too much, it's not so much a singular hero comic but an ansemble one like X-Men or other team up comics. Spider Man has been continually remade with each new writer getting to see what works and what doesn't, while Deku and MHA has only had one attempt.
Noah Wood
man shounen is in the fucking dumps these days. I used to shit on Bleach back in the day, but my god, I would love for it to come back. At least I cared enough about Bleach to shitpost about it. I don't even care enough for MHA Season 4. This is the first time I yawned and fell asleep during a shounen show. Sad.
>This is the first time I yawned and fell asleep during a shounen show >be me >watch yakuza arc >brain falls asleep >I keep looking at it like a zombie but nothing registers I guess the red dude had a fight and deku fought the beak guy who had limbs come out of him. Also Shigeru made his leg(?) rot away but I don't know why. I assume it was to be edgy. I can't remember anything else and it was the most that happened in the series.
Camden Kelly
Japanese have no idea how teenagers behave. It's not surpriaing since, despite every character being a high schooler, they rarely behave like kids.
Joshua Myers
Is Fake Red ever going to get a real release
Adam White
spiderman isnt a manga you fucking newfag nigger
Liam Nguyen
Next you'll tell me Spider-Man isn't a toku series either!
