If Chapter 122-123 didn't happen, the first two chapters of this volume would unarguably be the most hyped moments in this series. Chapters 99 - 100 are what put Eren Yeager in the "Best Shonen MCs of All Time" discussion, and I'm sure that you've seen at least one of the pages in Chapter 100 spammed multiple times on Zig Forums, regardless of if you keep up with Attack on Titan or not. This is the point where everything changes.
In Volume 24, The Warriors discuss ways to ensure a future for their Eldian race before deciding to work with the Tybur family, the keepers of the WarHammer Titan, in their effort to launch a war against the island of Paradis and obtain the all-powerful Founding Titan. After that, we get a long Reiner flashback, which showcases his traumatic childhood and time on Paradis. It's revealed that the Paradis mission was almost cancelled by Annie and Bert after Marcel got eaten, but Reiner convinced them to continue with it anyways. The flashback ends with Reiner encouraging Eren to "keep moving forward" before cutting back to the current day, where we see Reiner about to Kurt Cobain himself. He chooses not to. Falco meets an amputeed war vet at a hospital, and it's revealed that this vet is Eren. Willy Tybur, leader of the Tybur family, meets with Magath and discusses the plans for a festival / play / speech in the Eldian-centric Liberio Internment Zone, in which all of the world leaders and Marleyan military heads would bear witness the declaration of war against Paradis. The day of this event comes, with all the warriors waiting for the show to start, when Falco excitedly urges Reiner to come with him. Reiner complies and is taken to the boiler room of a building where he is met with a disheveled Eren.

Yeah, especially since they use a worse version of that one for the following volume
Mason Lee
You think? With 117 it looked to me like that was the exact opposite.
Jackson Rogers
Oh thank god I thought I missed it
Luke Cruz
I haven't actually seen that one before. I gotta admit that his volume covers for Marley arc and the upcoming arc are much better than almost every cover from the prior arcs.
This volume was peak retarded theory time thinking back.
Chase Martin
Time for the play!

In this page, I (attempted to) embed the OST "進撃vn-pf20130524巨人". Assuming I set this one up right, expect a couple more sound embeds throughout the rest of this volume. God bless Sawano.
I wouldn't necessarily read the scene that way since it's not like Mikasa had any idea of what Eren was about to do, but I don't think that equates to wanting to be judged or forgiven anyway. Eren and Reiner's fight which chronologically takes place months also seems to suggest "Judgement" (117's title) is the last thing Eren is ready or willing to receive when Reiner offers to be his judge and executor.

If they fuck up Marley let them at least spare this
He probably heard about the basic content from Zeke, but parts like because I was born into this world surprised him.
Liam Anderson
Gotta love how roundabout, evasive and downright manipulative Eren's become when it comes to answering any question that pertains to his goals and motives.
