Okay, just wanted to post this here before I posted it on my tumblr. Im only a lurker, this is my first time posting here.
Given that boku no hero academia is largely influenced by star wars, as Hairicoochie has admitted before, If the Dad for One theory is true in the boku no hero canon then Horikoshi basically predicted “the Last Jedi” twist ending. Hear me out:
Izuku/Rey is the son/clone of the biggest bad guy within the canon. They have recieved training from the biggest good guy within the canon. One big challenge to overcome is the discipline of the big bad guy, Shigaraki/Kylo Ren, whose actually the grandchild/son of Nana Shimura/Leia, whose one of the strongest female leads of the series. If theres a chance for a shigaraki redemption arc, it might follow in the footsteps of Kylos redemption.
The story is building up to the final confrontation between good and evil fought between aforementioned son/clone vs their parent. For this last battle, in order to beat their parent Izuku/Rey needs to tap into the power of the past OfA members/all the past jedi.
